Jokers Paintball Field Thread
Hey Anyone looking to play near Castroville Ca check out this site www.jokerspaintball.com. we are a club who's goal is to keep paintball alive by keeping it affordable. if you have any questions, concerns or any thing what so ever to do with our field you can post it here for the world to see.
We developed out of need for a place to play because the nearest field is over 45 min away. We are a woodsball field.

Castroville is a bit out of my way, but GL with the field. Some people may have some reservations about playing without refs though. I know I would.
At least everytime I play someone takes off thei masks or forgets thier barrel condom. Even with experienced players, mistakes happen and not everyone has common sense.
But still, best of luck, I hope it works out great!

works great
We have been playing here for years and we regulate the field usually by putting team members on each of the teams so they can keep an eye out. rules are told to everyone at the beginning of each day so no excuses. The barrel condom is a new aspect for us but it works when you remind people as they come back into the staging area.

Ah I see. So it is ref'd just by the players. just like how some fields allow exp players to ref each other.

well, if you guys can make it work, that would be fantastic!
too bad it's very... distancy for me to go out there. best of luck running the field, though! make sure to keep the rentals safe or it will all get stolen like Sherwood Forest (2 times, someone broke the trailer lock and gutted it)

Me and a friend up in Santa Cruz have been looking for a good place to play. I sent a message to you on your website and would love more info about the fields, location, paint price, and how often you guys play.

We don't do much for rentals and its private property with big dogs running around when we are not playing so theft is not much of a concern. Besides that the land owners are true rednecks who think its fun to shoot at trespassers who don't belong. (not with paintball markers).

Well the ones who keep coming back like it. If it wasn't appealing to play all day for $40 then go spend a fortune somewhere else, It wont hurt our feelings at all. If you don't like it cause you play speedball exclusively then ohh well don't come. 20-30 people a day say it is appealing.

So the field is open everyday and u got 20-30 people playing a day. But Heard that its only open every other sunday. So u get more costumers then USPN in Hollister get on weekends and thats a real paintball field. Your field is just a homemade backyard play at your own risk field, with no rental guns. WOW u guys make bank from people.

I came out for the first time at this field the other day. Cover and bunkers seemed remarkably well thought out for woodsball. Self-governance worked well and I didn't witness any disputes that weren't resolved amicably to both parties, and while there weren't any refs, there were a few "observers" on hand which could have made an intervention if need be. Otherwise, team members policed their compatriots admirably.
As far as costs go, outside of paint and air (which I was not required to buy there), If I remember right, I had to pay the field $5 for the day.

Sooo sorry "a game day" and no we don't make bank! And yes our field is a "Back yard" but our back yard consists of heavily wooded 2 1/2 acre plot. Read the ENTIRE WEBSITE first then speak. Also go back to English class I am sick of trying to decipher your poor grammar.
Thank you to Birthday Boy. Obviously this is someone who knows to try it before knocking it, and is well educated. Thank you again hope to see you at the next one.

I go all the time. It's not a full on "Real" moneymaking field like USPN, but a place where people who simply like to play paintball, play. Price is great, people are even better, what more could you ask from a paintball field? Want speedball? USPN isn't that far away, its a great place as well and you'll actually see a few of us there on saturday.
