As OWNER of the Beefy Boys..(not beef masters, idiot) we had no problems with the refing, field or anything else with the NEW AXBL.....as far as the paint goes and us being the only EMPIRE team there, we have been around long enough to know that things happen. The team & I do NOT like it when someone decides to use us as a reason to stir the pot so to speak.

All I can say is that the BEEFY BOYS will be at the NEXT AXBL and that speaks volumes as far as we are concerned.

Thank you to all who helped make this event happen.

I too was a spectator as I have been benched due to a bum knee. I know for a fact that both of our teams had a great time and are looking forward to Dallas. I feel the reffing was spot on despite the penalties that were pulled against our teams. And for the most part I was very impressed by the sportsmanship exhibited by the teams there.

For a local tournament it was very impressive. The fields were setup nicely and keeping the race to x on one field and race to 2 on the other was favorable to minimize the differences between the two fields. It was definitely nice to see actual buzzers opposed to a ref with an air-horn. My only concern was with the race to 2 field where the snake side net only went 2/3 down the field.

Overall it was a great event. Compliments to the staff for getting everything setup and keeping the playing field even. See yall in D-town.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, we worked tirelessly for weeks to get everything ready for this event in the hopes that we could bring this new league to Texas, it amazes me how someone that doesn't even participate in the event could post such negative things, if you do come to Dallas please introduce yourself to me, I would love to meet you. We will make sure we have more premium paint at the next one, this is the first event I have ever run that everyone wanted the $55 paint rather then the $45 paint, so we will make sure to fix that. Thanks to all teams that participated and see you in Dallas.

Glad we have some "xball" in Texas.

It's a series of tournaments with a winner determined at the end. Because it's x ball and the matches are so long (and expensive) they are spaced out like one big tournament.

Here were the results

Premiere Division
FZR Obscene 2-0
Sid's Fried Rice 2-0
ZONE D3 2-0
Texas Grind 0-2
Beefy Boys 0-2
Swamp Chickenz 0-2

Intermediate Division
Zone D4 2-0
Texas Wreckage 0-2

His observation was not needed as well. My statement was not directed towards you or the beefy boys. It's just that the only complaints I am hearing is from the Dallas or Austin area paintball community. I'm glad you guys had fun and good luck on the rest of the season.

This was a great tournment and you will definitely see us in Dallas(FATE). I would like to thank Jim for putting out a great 5 man event that will hopefully stay in Texas. Also like thank the head ref, who I was not able to pick up his name and Steve for dealing with us on and off the field.

All things considered, it was a great event and I'm glad I played. AXBL has a few minor issues to hammer out, but I'm confident they will do just that. Can't wait for the next one!

As I have said before, great event and very professionally ran. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing old school faces, like Dahmer just said everyone who played it won.

BUT, what I would like to see at the next events(!) is the same kind of setup at the fields. The pits/score areas were top-notch, even with some technical difficulties everything ran smoothly. I, for one, remember the days of Texas tournaments being 8am-dark(or after) affairs and very much do not want that to be what happens in Dallas. What I am hoping for is an event ran as smoothly as this one, and I hope Dallas' field prepared as much as Jim and Rob did for Houston. Cant wait to see yall out there.

ps. GI shot great, but bring in Key(or whatever it is), etc.
