I came home and found something in the mail. *Gasp*
Could it be ? So ran downstairs and ripped it open to find this
So without further ado, how I installed the TechT Hush Bolt, I'm 90% sure this is the way you do it but since I didn't get any directions from TechT yet, I just decided give it a try.
In the package, you get Bolt w/o pin, a small bag of goodies, a sweet TechT sticker and your product ID.
The small bag contains new detents, replacement set of orings and your ever important TechT jewel.
First Take Your Bolt Out
Take an 3/16 Allan Wrench down the center of the bolt and turn left to loosen the inside. *Warning* It is on there really tight
The bolt pin spring should come out
And your bolt pin should come out easily
Now take a really thin pair of pliers down the center of your bolt to take out your bolt pin holder (Lack of a better word)
Now that you have everything out, store your old bolt and the screw holding the bolt pin spring in a safe place. Take note that the spring goes on the holder then down the back of the bolt just like in the picture and just like you would do when installing a Cure 3 Bolt.
Hold down the spring and push your bolt pin in SIDEWAYS
. It takes a little bit of play to get the pin in.
Lube up the orings on your new bolt. I used Planet Eclipse gun oil because DOW 33 (Hater Sause, Lurker Lube, Monkey Poo, etc...) swell derlin and you don't want your bolt to swell.
Install back into marker like the original bolt
Remove eye covers
As you can see, the TechT detents *Left* vs the Stock Detents *Right* are finger style which makes them stick out farther into the breach making sure no balls are rolling forward and are held nicely.
Place the Stock detents in a safe place, and place the new TechT detents in their place. Then put your eye covers back on. Do the this step to the other side too. Air up your marker and test it.
*If your having problems with the bolt moving back
Trim down the detents using scissors. Take off a tiny bit, test, if still not working, take off more. Repeat till bolt moves smoothly.
Peel off the jewel and apply jewel perfectly onto the back of the bolt, you wanna make sure it is level because it will really piss you off if it isn't.
The finished product
Now you can go shoot ropes. Sorry about the spammage.
