empire axe pro

The Empire Axe Pro paintball gun has been a rumor for the last few months but has now come to fruition.

We expect the Empire Axe Pro to be priced around the $600-$700 price and come with a bunch of great new features. Some of the more visible features include:

* OLED Screen - An OLED screen is a must have on a high end gun and will be included on the Empire Axe Pro.

* Finger Grove Front Grip - Now the Empire Axe Pro will have some great finger groves milled in the front grip. This is a feature that is loved by many players and helps you to keep a good grip on your gun.

* External Toggle Controls - The Empire Axe Pro can easily be setup and adjusted with a simple toggle switch that will be located right below the OLED Screen.

* Low Rise Feed Neck - Some of the test model Axe Pro guns have a low rise clamping feed neck. This may be a stock feature or an aftermarket buy.

The Empire Axe Pro is currently being tested by many of the top pro teams and does not currently have a release date. All of the information provided is based off the guns that Pro Players are testing.

info is from ANS: http://www.ansgear.com/Empire_Axe_Pr...Gun_s/2721.htm

so the next logical question..... when will the new front grip and board be available by itself, and how much do we think its going to cost? this will certainly make me hold off on getting a virtue board for the time being, thats for sure.

honestly the plastic they used was too cheap / brittle, it was like the black plumbing you see

they should have used more dense like the white plumbing, kinda like DYE Rotors

alot of xsv's NPPL hb photos on FB showed a finger gripped front grip, along with a empire low rise feedneck. and one of the photos of troll in the snake clearly has a OLED or LCD screen on the back of the grip near the power button

Other than the finger grooved front grip you can basically upgrade into this now (or almost). I just ordered the Virtue OLED off of Boss's site (it's currently on there at pre-order) and you can get a nano feedneck now.

Thing is however is that I'm sure these ones will be in different colors or designs which would be nice but hey, did anyone have any doubt that there would NOT be a pro version of this gun given it's popularity?

ANS should know better then to throw info out when they have no real idea what's going. I guess they like to fuel the rumor mill and add to their dilution of self importance.

Seriously - there's no less than four speculations in their own description, and everything else is based on test mules? This would be like your local car dealer preselling a car based on those crazy-painted and wrapped up test cars sometimes spotted out on the road while testing.

150 -250 upgrade for a feed neck , grip and screen

feed neck - $28.95
Grips - $19.95
Virtue - $184.95

hummmm Iam thinking OLED is like navi in a car over priced for what you get. Acura wants $2,000 for Navi in thier cars and my $200 EVO does it.

Pretty sure you couldn't get the front grip milled for $19.95 ....

My wife likes her Virtue OLED, the only thing that sucks is the plastic door, so she'd definitely upgrade if there's an option to keep OLED and allow for the marker to be lasered over the door.

I almost regret not getting this but I was originally planning to get a mini so that would have been far out of my price range if it cost more than the Axe.

that joystick may become a problem accidentally chaning modes during game play if one moves and the fingers hit that joystick but i guess theres gonna have to be a special mode on the board to change modes etc? just a thought
