Why don't you make an asa mount with some sheet metal, splice into the existiing microswitchs on the board wires that lead to another microswitch that you place in some cheap frame mouned to that sheet metal. That way you aren't really messing with the two ions besides for a little bit of soldering on the microswitch and all the other work comes from a hammer, sheet metal, and driling holes so you can mount **** to them.

the wires or leads on the switch..
Look asking help is one thing, but having everyone tell you exactly what you need to do it no longer becomes a project, its a tutorial. If your doing the project, its on your part to make it happen.

This.
Also Beastmode, I have noticed you have been making a lot of posts in VW lately. Now, not to be "that guy", but a lot of your "questions" have been done before, and could have been found by doing a simple search for it.
Also, if you are really serious about a project or an idea, be a little more specific in your posts, instead of "what are some mods". For people to help you, we need to know a bit more about what you are wanting from the project (assuming you have already done a search and could not come up with an answer)

I hate to really be THAT GUY but, with the questions you're asking, I'm gonna say you don't have the skill to do what you want...
There's a saying round here. If you have to ask, you can't do it. Now, that's a extreme as some questions, like confirmation of board wires or whatever is understandable, but you're almost asking do a walkthrough, and that's where we step back.
