hey i was just curious of how many luxes were made? i have number 2266, and i know the colours were all made at the same time, like mine is purple, so all the purples were made around 2266. but how many were actually made?

1-1999=First Gen which didn't come with the FT manifold
2000-40xx- second gen with ft manifold. But reason for x's is because they went bankrupt right after they passed 4k
4xxx-5809 (highest ive seen)=Luxe 1.5's being mand and so on.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Feathertouch was stock after serial 700 or so. The first 500 were all maxflo guns.

I was going to say the FT seems to be in a lot more guns. anything over 700ish sounds about right. my luxe has the FT stock and is 1782

Mine had ft stock, no maxflow and is #291.

berzerker: did you buy it new? all the low serial numbers were eligible for free upgrade to FT all you had to do was mail ur gun into DLX.

i think luxe 1.0's stopped at sn 2500 but that is just speculation on my part, i have sn 2393 and its gloss black

I do think they only made 2500. I have never seen one over 2500. I worked on a 1.5 and it was in the 5000 range. So they must have a gap in serial numbers from the 1 to the 1.5. I also know the older luxes had the superglue/silicon type noid wire covering and the newer versions had the black heat shrink wrap around the noid wires.

Not to disagree with you but my Luxe did not come with a maxflow but it has one now.

Guy I got it from was the original owner and he said all he had done to it was add the vp trigger and nox bolt. I did ask about the max flow and he said it did not come with it.
AS I recall, the Maxflow was an upgrade option, not necessarily standard, but I could be wrong about that.

mine is 173 or 193, cant quite remember and dont feel like checking, it came with the maxflo and no ft, but dlx added one later.

Let me clarify on the 500 that were Maxflo guns. The maxflo was a free option on these guns. Some owners chose not to utilize this option and go with the asa. There were also many chrome accented guns that had low serial numbers. This is no longer an option.

the chrome is no longer an option due to it chipping after some use (it was nickel plating)
