Zap Amp Generator??
Just bought this gun on ebay for 50 bucks.. Watched a youtube vid where it caps at 11 bps I hear that spyder parts work with it, and it'd be amazing to upgrade a gun that lacks popularity, I love being an underdog, So can these things accept virtue or t-boards??

Zap makes the Amp Series, Generator, Transformer and Reactor. They are identical to the Black Dragun line of Spyder clones.
They also were re-incarnated later on as the Zap ZXS series of markers, most noteably the ZXS::800E and ZXS::1000E (Old Style).
The worst part about the marker is that they have cheesy plastic grips/gripframe. The Reactor actually had an LCD and metal Gripframe. It's hard to find aftermarket grips that will fit it.
Check your board for a set of jumper pins. If you have 'em you can unlock a few extra firing modes.

Thanks, you seem to know quite a bit. I was wondering if maybe it was a discontinued gun, and I seen the clear plastic grip, looks horrible better not drop it in water or that thing will be history I bought it on ebay I will get it late next week. I heard I can use spyder barrels, maybe I can use it more sniping it does have a rail but looks like a vertical feed system =( it's right in the way of a red dot sight

They do indeed use Spyder threaded barrels. You can get after market grip frames for them as well. Most Spyder frames fit them. I do know a lot about them because I owned three of them.

I have one and spyder frames are NOT a drop in. The flat area on the bottom of the gun isnt milled as deep as a spyder which means a spyder frame wont work without milling down the flatspot on the top of the frame. However mine has a zap sticker on it not a ZXS one and the ASA and VA look different.

I've owned many guns. As I say, most Spyder frames fit. The one pictured with the LCD is a 32* LCD Frame. Bolt on, no problem.

Yeah. It's the (New Style) Zap ZXS::1000E. It's still a blow back spyder clone. Really poor milling on it. What you don't see in Zap's adds is that there is a cocking pin at the top of the marker. Also what they don't show you is the marker in the picture *is* a FreeStyle...
I'm not sure how they get around showing a picture of ICD's marker as an add for their own marker. Weird.

Yeah, about the best thing you can do for it is to get yourself a Spyder ACS bolt. I'd have to check which style you need. Basically I wouldn't use really brittle paint and electronic eyes are pretty much out so older Spyder Frames will do it. The feedneck of course is the tabbed bolt on style which means it'll be easy to upgrade.

it should be the xtra/rear-cocking bolt if the gun is rear cocking.

Trivia: Game Face also sold these under the E-REX name. The E-Rex Elite was the LED version (gold frame), the E-Rex Pro was the LCD version (silver frame). The Game Face versions were a little more upped - the Pro had a metal frame, 2-piece barrel, drop forward, flush-cocking bolt, and an underslung inline reg (Odyssey-style). They re-used most of the parts to make the Vexor Eye, one of the first inexpensive (sub-$150) e-markers with breakbeam eyes.

Yeah Gameface was indeed selling them for a while. I believe the original manufacturer of the marker in Taiwan was PRECO Corp.

Pretty sure the first manufacturer was m3 paintball then it was dragun empire. Eventually dragun went out of business in the us and somehow gameface and zap struck a distribution deal.

M3 was just the company that introduced that body line. Make no mistake it was manufactured in Taiwan by PRECO.
They will take TES/The One and some of the Rex Boards. If you happen to want a metal grip frame then get an after market Spyder frame (older ones work).

Pretty much. There are a lot of M3/Black Dragun/Zap/Dragun Empire markers floating around in various forms.

I know that dragun empire was a taiwanese based company also. Is preco dragun's real name or are they seperate? Also I know for sure that "the one" boards wont work in these (lack of capacitor).

Pretty sure PRECO manufactured them. I don't know exactly who the foreign investors were that took over the finance of Dragun Empire. I am pretty sure the whole move to Taiwan issue at the end was to tax shelter the company.
The One boards will work. There were many connectors that weren't used with those boards. If I remember correctly the TES used a capacitor that was connected to a micro plug and could be implemented with The One board.
