Guys...need some ideas.
Some of you may remember me talking about my girl airedale (Gracie) dying last year. Well, I'm visiting my parents right now and it seems my boy airedale (Griffon) doesn't have much time left. By not much, I mean very very little.
What are some things you guys do for your dogs before you have to say your final good byes?
The worst part is I go home Tuesday and I know its the last time I'll ever see him I was supposed to go get my airedale puppy on Friday, but I don't think I'm ready now

The couch might be tough. his hips are pretty weak, but a nice steak is a good idea.
I've been sneaking him marshmallows before I go to bed. they are his favorite treat. I figure we've kept him healthy for 11 years, I can reward him for anything I damn well please. I'm trying to make zero possible regrets. I regret stupid little things I didn't do for Gracie.

just know he lived a good long life and he loves you very much and appreciates everything you did for him. the steak idea's a good one if he likes steak. the day my best friend had to put one of his recent dogs down we made a plate of hamburgers and each fed her one and said our goodbye's before he drove her to the vet with his dad. she gobbled them up in one bite like it was nothing.

Both good ideas:.. Before my last dog dyed his favorite thing in the world was peanut butter sandwiches on cheap white bread.... I fed my dog a steak before he dyed aswell...

I'd recommend one for sure. They are awesome. Incredibly high energy, but VERY easy to train. Super loyal, very friendly, great around kids, etc.

He is an awesome dog. after he gets his meds I pet him until he falls asleep. he "talks" to me (grumbles quietly, its how he talks) for about an hour until I rub his ears. he's hilarious. he knows so many commands. Sit, stay, lay down, go to bed, head down, shake, speak, etc. just basic stuff but he follows them without hesitation. he's great

most dogs love to destroy a big stuffed toy. get him something to tear up like that? just make sure to cut off the eyes or nose if they are the little bead type things so he wont choke!

He's the cutest ****ing dog I've ever seen! On topic, since dogs love to explore, take him outside and let him explore places you've never been to with him. Even if it means putting him in a baby carriage, just so he can smell all sorts of things. Or bring him to a breeder and get him laid like Ron White.

I told him that and he kind of smiled. He's been in a great mood today. I took him and our wire fox terrier on a walk. It was short, but he loved it.
He's getting a steak for dinner tomorrow before I leave. I'll try to get him out somewhere new tomorrow too.
The closest breeder is in ohio

That's pretty much what I would have suggested- just hang out with, enjoy and spoil him.

Thanks, he is.
I hugged him goodbye yesterday. He seemed sad, but my parents take great care of him.
