Definitely TV, as this company will be not be putting the matches online ever.
NCPA may or may not get the matches up on YouTube before the FCS broadcasts.

not to bust your balls, but what exactly is the time consuming part of uploading the vids? If you own them, shouldn't you be able to just put them up. Im obviously not understanding some part of this process. |

You missed a part of the step. The videos are completely uncut. Meaning that when we get them, we're (to my understanding anyway) getting two ~7 hour long videos (friday/saturday) and sunday's video. We have to cut them to usable sizes, then get our YouTube account setup to allow us to upload full-length videos. These things take time to do, and it's time where we are at the mercy of third parties (webcast company and YouTube). Put that on top of what Chris has already pointed out, which is we don't have these videos yet, and that's what takes time.
We own the video, we aren't currently in possession of the video, and to my knowledge we don't have a guaranteed timeframe to receive the video in.
Having said all that, we're just as impatient as you guys are to get the content cut up and uploaded to share with everyone. You can be assured that as *SOON* as we have any content available to share, we will let everyone know.

The video currently only exists on servers at the webcast company. The webcast company needs to get them on DVD and send them to us. Those videos are currently in files that won't even FIT on a DVD, so they have to cut them up a bit, and they have to do it on hardware that's robust enough to handle files that large.
The webcast company also has a fairly small staff who have lots of responsibilities, including recently doing other webcasts on other continents.
My understanding is the guys who are able to do what we need just got back in the country yesterday. They will, as they are able to, get the files on DVD and send them to me. Depending on the specific format of the files when I get them, we'll then get them uploaded to YouTube either directly from me, or I may have to have someone else do additional editing to get us nice one-match-per-video uploads. And then actually get a few gigs of files uploaded.
So, yeah, it's a process.
Next year we'll also put the live feed to tape on the truck, so hopefully I can leave the event with it.

Sounds good Chris. Wasn't trying to complain or bust anyone's balls, just trying to add a little humor to a process that's obviously very time consuming. I work in TV so I know this won't happen overnight.
