Thanks man, y'all fought us tooth and nail. Cal state played the hardest ball we saw all weekend.... we'll see you guys again next year... probably on Sunday again haha. Sucks the crowd got involved to that extent, but fans are just as much a part of college sports as the players.

Really glad Tennessee pulled this one out. Was rooting for them all weekend and was super happy to watch them win it all through the webcast on my phone on our way home.

Great Final and congrats to the Tennessee team, way to comeback but I must say that the crowd of Long Beach haters that counter coached, made fake buzzer sounds and didn't even let the team coaches do there job really made the finals look bad and took away the significance of the victory for the Tenn team. I walked pass the Long Beach pit after the game and so many people were there to congratulate them and to apologize for the crowd and many said that shouldn't have happen that way. Even the league owner told the crowd to stop and they just kept going at it. Congrats to all the teams that participated and had nothing to do with that crazy crowd.

Thanks for the praise everyone. CSLB and Liberty straight up balled hard all weekend and gave us very tough matches all day today. Congrats to both teams for their accomplishments this weekend. I think this shows that some serious paintball is being played on the college level, and the competition can only get better for years to come!

It was a mixture of drunk players. You can't really do anything about it but it just shows how the paintball community is nowadays. Btw why was there alcohol allowed at the field while play was still going on?

I was one of the Long Beach coaches. I'm glad someone realized the stupidity of those who didn't allow us to do our jobs.

I heard one of the NCPA head persons told the crowd to stop but the next point they kept doing it. Why wasnt someone handling this crowd? This easily could have cost Long Beach the tournament. Also very classy Tenn mom for cussing out other college students and hitting them.

You and your bud were really workin your ***** off on the bleacher side. I sympathize with you guys but it IS a sports crowd. The buzzer noise is pretty lame but everything else is going to come with the territory. I wasn't really feelin it though that's why I moved away from the crowd to the LBSU side at half.
Besides that, it seemed like LB kept getting beat off the breakout and couldn't establish zones as well after the first few games, they only made it to the snake one or two times that I remember after Tenn started to come back. That seemed to get LB flustered. On the very last round Corey went out without his barrel tip, so LB was definitely distracted.

Thanks for the paint btw

You are just as much a part of this team. Not only for your coaching but for the legacy you left...not to mention the inspiration for a couple of bunker calls haha.

Thanks for your help on Saturday and Sunday. Glad you got to be a part of our win.

As to everyone else, thanks for all your support, it is great to have some dedicated fans and hopefully gain some new ones. Also Cal State, you guys are some great ballers and it was cool getting to chat it up with you, we will see you next year.

Every year i've seen the finals match is always loud and distracting on the bleachers side (used to be on the otherside of the field however). This year was more lopsided in the crowds choice of a favorite, but not anything new. Seems some teams really don't like the west coast teams year after year

And I never saw anyone come over and say anything to the crowd.

and red solo cups at paintball events are nothing new fyi.

Picked up a copy of the Daily Beacon (UTK's campus newspaper) on my way to class this morning.
No mention of the win in the sports section, but I guess they have all week to put in an article. We'll see.

Remember when tournament paintball didnt have coaching? Its always had fans and theyve always been loud. The fake buzzer was clever and cs shouldnt have been penalized for any false starts, but players shouldnt need coaching to win and I strongly believe it shouldnt be part of the game, but that wont ever happen. TN seemed to be moving pretty fast and didnt seem to heavily rely on coaching, and just played smashmouth paintball in the end. Congrats to both teams, youve certainly got talent on the team
