Jersey Rules?
We are picking up longsleeves for the event tomorrow at our booster store or whatever it is called.
We really want to wear yellow (white and navy look ridiculous).
Is yellow permitted? or do we have to suck it up and wear navy lol

If you don't get a response, I would wear navy. At least you are safe with that selection...

9.7.3. The color yellow is prohibited on any players equipment or clothing, except that a player's
jersey, pants, gloves or shoes may have yellow, so long as no part of the yellow coloring is
more than 0.25 cm from some other color, and no more than 10% of any 5cm by 5cm square
on clothing or item is yellow
To be honest, I don't understand if that means I can wear a yellow jersey.

that means if 10% or less of your longsleeveis yellow, its fine. if its more than 10% yellow, youre in trouble. sounds to me like....youre in trouble.

There are no color restrictions in the NCPA.

Also, a big reason for the PSP change was that they are "requiring" (I don't think it's an actual requirement for teams, but it will be for vendors) yellow paint due to the orange stuff staining up the events. That's not nearly as big an issue for us - the vast majority of our events are at paintball fields, where there's already tons of paint everywhere and a little more is irrelevant.
Of course, some events like indoors may still require white-fill paint.
I think in the long term we may modify the color rules to be something like school colors in jerseys and pants and then maybe restrict things like hoppers and shoes and non-school-themed clothing. (i.e., no wearing white t-shirts to an indoor event).

Yeah, less than 10% ISN'T yellow, thanks for saving me $15 lol
texaspaintballplpaye Can I have a direct link to that post (regarding the date). The rule I posted is from the NCPA Rulebook. I would LOVE to wear yellow if we are allowed to.

Click the arrow beside "raehl" on the quote, and it takes you straight to that post.
And that was posted at the start of last season in 2010. We've been using our Baylor yellow ones for three years now without any problems. CSU wore their yellow last year, along with Drexel's jerseys.
There is no a color restriction, since it restricts college colors.

long beach's jerseys are all yellow and they are fine. there are no color restrictions so you can wear your school colors no matter what they are.

As long they are school colors.
EKU has colors maroon and white, so we can't make a pink, yellow, green, white, orange splotched jersey just because there are no color restrictions though.

If you're reffing and you can't tell the difference between a hit and a yellow mask, or jersey. Maybe you shouldn't be reffing... A ref told this to his entire crew at a psp event last year. I believe it was Chicago. I do agree however.

Speaking of jerseys... Were rules not enforced against matching jerseys this year? I saw several teams who had long sleeves (that didn't even have the ncpa logo), lots of with mismatched jerseys. And several class A teams on the webcast field without matching jerseys..
I thought that was the whole reason for that rule was for the webcast field.

matching jerseys arent a requirement, theyre more of an incentive. We (SUNY Buffalo) didnt have matching jerseys because we just didnt have the money to buy them. If your team didnt have matching jerseys, you just couldnt avail of the $100 discount.

Matching jerseys are a requirement for Class A & AA, but AA can pay $100 to bypass the requirement.
For Class A, there is one case that I can think of - Univ of Florida - that had one player wearing a non-matching jersey. That got corrected after their first match on the webcast field.
