King arms Red dot

So I recently aquired a used king arms red dot. The problem is, the knob to adjust the brightness/ turn it on/off was broken off. Has anyone tried to take one of these bad boys apart, and rewire the switch? It has the red/green feature, so I'm thinking two separate switched mounted on the scope somewhere, just to turn the thing on and off. I'm just having trouble deconstructing the innards of the sight. Anyone have any tips?

it's this one btw,

you may find that with replica acogs there are zero wires just metal wedged together to form a circuit to the switch....good luck

Really? So I'm basically going to have to hack this thing apart, re-wire the whole thing, and put it back?

I couldn't pass up getting it used for less then half price. I think the post ****ed me on this one, for lack of handling with care.
