Hello! I had a question about the way that Pay Pal works. I have had a bad experience with online transactions before and wanted to know if PayPal has something integrated into it where it holds the money in a intermediary account until the Item is received? I am worried that I might pay someone and never get my item. What can PayPal do to ensure that this does not happen?

From my couple experiences with PayPal, they take the money from your bank account and send it to the other persons PayPal. There is no intermediary.

If you get scammed, which happens all the time here on the nation, sadly, you can file a dispute with PayPal to get your money back. However, these investigations usually take easily a month by the time it's over. But it's better than nothing.
