Danner boots can eat a dick. they tore the **** out of my feet on all my movements this week. 8 miles a day for 4 days with my mortar section full gear/pack and of course my section.
So I am keeping my belvilles and using only them.

the one thing the brits did right? was issue them some damn good boots.
i traded a Brit Para a canadian airborne t-shirt, for a set of their boots.
went through my tour like they were brand new and took the abuse no problem
though sadly, it's hard to get anything else by the COC in Canada unless over seas, cuz they're bat **** ****ing crazy on uniformity.

anyone looking into buying the rocky trainers, heres some things i have noticed with mine.
-most people i know who have them, as well as myself get a hotspot right above the back of your heel, even after being well broken in.
-theyre light, great to run in, very comfortable. you definitely notice the difference.
-rucking 10 or more miles is noticiably easier with the cushioning and weight etc
-the soft bottoms loose tread off the main pads almost immediatly. they would absolutely not last through any kind of intense training, or deployment. (i havent deployed, but i have put them through a lot and it shows on the boots)
-water gets in easily, but gets out fast too. i rucked 10 miles in a pretty ****ty storm and my feet were completely fine, 0 discomfort.
theyre alright boots, i love them for airborne school because we run so much, but i definitely wont be jumping in them because theres 0 ankle support. id take my belleville 390s over anything ive ever used, including the s2v

jump week is next week, but PNN says we might jump friday because next week is terrible weather. i hope i dont have to stay in this **** hole another week just because of ****ty weather. and negative on the rasp, i have no motivation or desire to be in regiment. although i did almost get sent straight to rasp before airborne like a ton of other guys did.
