Are there better or anything equivalent to the Agilite plate carriers? thinking about ordering me a set before my next tour. Would like a nice plate carrier and I forget the ones they issued us when I was in 'stan last time. They were ****ing NICE! They had really think shoulder straps and had no velcro at all... all clips.

the land version has a front flap
the maritime has them on the sides, making the front clean, with more real estate where you need it.
and not sure what you mean by making contacts.

update on my gear:
My Bates Lights (boots) soles are crumbling. The area on the inside of the sole, near the toes... is coming off. 2 months. dammit.

yes, because I can do that in Afghanistan. 
Let me paint this picture for you: I don't have toilet paper, other than baby wipes and MRE ones from wag bags. We didn't have plates to eat off of for a few weeks. We have no spare anythings. Mail does not come out here more than once every few weeks. We don't have enough dudes to patrol regularly.
....and I'm going to return my boots. yeah.....right.

If you ever need anything(I know it would take a few weeks to get out there) please post up and I'd be happy to send you it. That goes for anyone who is currently deployed.

Plastic silverware or some metal ones?
Paper plates or those plastic ones you could wash and re-use?
I'll throw in some 5 hour engery drinks( loved those when I was deployed)
Gatorade mix and what not. other random snacks. probably send you two boxes or so. try to get it out by friday.
