Hmm, my bates m8's have pretty much disintegrated, I was leaning towards a pair of OTB junglelights or garmont m8's.

Anyone try the OTB's? I picked up a pair a long time ago and was really impressed by how lightweight and breathable they seemed.

The OTB Deserlite is what I am wearing right now... very breathable and light weight. I actually made the mistake of buying them right before a ruck march(surprise announced right as I walked in with my brand new boots AWESOME)and was surprised that they were basically broken in already right out of the box, no blisters, no mess, no fuss. I am happy with the purchase for sure....

I love my t8s. I have been wearing them out here for the last month on a dozen or so dismounted patrols and have had no problem with them. I just started switching between two pairs right now trying to break in a new pair with no issues.

They are flooding the fields here so I learned they dry pretty quick when I leave them outside.

A lot of dudes in Selection and subsequent courses have had them and had nothing but great things to say about them. I'm thinking about picking up a pair to replace my Danner TFX's.

Anyone know some good "keep me cool" gear?

A few years ago I suffered from heat stroke, and because of that multiple bouts of heat exhaustion. If you know anything about heat stress, you know once you get hit with either of those two things you are more susceptible to getting it again. I'm getting a bit fed up with either not being able to "play as hard" as everyone else, or "playing as hard as everyone else" but afterwards falling out and being carried home to recover.

Are there better or anything equivalent to the Agilite plate carriers? thinking about ordering me a set before my next tour. Would like a nice plate carrier and I forget the ones they issued us when I was in 'stan last time. They were ****ing NICE! They had really think shoulder straps and had no velcro at all... all clips.
