I love mine.
*edit*
I bought some Bates Lights today, due to the MC becoming more garrison than ever, and the strong possibility of me not being able to wear my s2v's downrange. They're pretty comfy so far.

I had bought some Bates Lights while training for Marine OCS. They're light and comfy, but now that I'm going to the "other" side, I won't be able to use them cause they have a EGA on 'em.

Hah, I might try that. Won't damage the boot too much, will it?

I did that with my danners, just gently rubbed the emblem off and eventually through dirt, wearing, and washing the whole area just faded together. One of my two pairs of boots was lost when the conex containing my B bag got blown to hell by mortars, the marines were nice enough to give me a new set. I wore them the rest of my deployment with the EGA on them until a pog colonel saw it and lost his **** completely

I just ordered the Mystery Ranch 3-day pack (with BVS). It's one of the better assault packs out there, according to a few guys I know (a bunch of Marsoc guys had 'em when I did training with 'em, too).
link to website: Mystery Ranch 3 DAP w/BVS
some random review of it here.

yeah, I heard about that. Plastic frame..... we'll see if they fixed the problems we had with snapping the old plastic frames on the original molle packs.

Double post... but it's a different topic.
This weekend I've been rotating through my boots, wearing them while shooting hoops and such. My comfy pair is getting pretty worn out, and I won't be able to bring them to Afghanaland confidently (they'll fall apart after a month of patrols).
So....
1. my Rocky S2V's
2. my 4-year-old combat boots that have almost no tread and no air holes... so my feet sweat.... but they're the most comfy pair I own.
3. My bates lights.... maybe. They're still uncomfortable, since my feet are so wide. If I wear 'em for the next six months, they may become comfortable enough to patrol in.
I wrote my last name and blood type on the bottom of the soles of each boot, too... in the area between the heel and ball of the boot, where it doesn't touch the ground and won't get worn off. Safety first!
