coty- rob and I were talking about if we want to do BC or not and a lot of our decision is going to be based on if others of our team want/can do it or not. If ya'll can then it's a plan. If not then we MIGHT look at going to Il. to play Living Legends 4 (?) with Keith. The thing is we would need to know for sure asap from everyone because if BC isn't a go then going to LL4 is going to require a bit more extensive planning and prep. So we really need all of ya'll to get this figured out like yesterday and let me know.
coty- rob and I were talking on the way back from yjp. He and I are of the opinion that if we have people who want to do BC in may then we will, but if it's just me and him and shane then we'll skip it and focus on potp. So if you want to do BC you need to talk it up with the guys on here and on fb so we get a group going.
We would, but we have certain guys who've never been to bc -new to scenarios- so we're trying to give them the "grand tour". Since we're planning on hitting cd for fulda gap we figured we would do bc this time.
coty- after playing that seps tourney the other weekend -which I had fun at: hanging with the guys, seeing old friends, and playing speedball- I realized that scenario paintball is where I need to be these days. I spent the same amount of money to play that tournament as I would to do a big 2 day scenario. (Or I would have if I had had to pay for a hotel room and entry fee.) I got to play 6 5 minute games. A whole 30 minutes of painball. I realized later that what I actually did most of the time there was stand around and wait to play. When we go to a scenario we actually get to play hours of paintball. And we get to do all of the other cool stuff we enjoy like hanging out and joking around with our friends. It's a much more relaxed situation. Just think how bad you would've felt getting sick and not being able to play your best if we would've been at a tournament instead of at a scenario game. Anyway, the tourney stuff was fun and interesting and I don't regret those years, but having the choice to play tournaments or scenarios I'm choosing scenarios. Hiatt's is fun for a little local 1 day cheap action, but these bigger 2 day events are more interesting. Flag Wars in Georgia is a fun small-medium 2 day game. But the bigger events like Bear Claw and Fulda Gap and the unusal events like the urban m.o.u.t. site event in alabama are a whole different thing. I'm hoping some of us can go do the m.o.u.t. site again in june -iirc. You would friggin love that place.
Oh, and would ya'll stop talking about ham. (I know I brought it up.) I'm on a diet so I'm starving. Besides, the combination of dieting, thoughts of ham, and mental images of coty are really starting to screw with me. I drove past the honey baked ham place the other day and had a chubby for like a hour afterwards. We're going to HAVE to do turkey at christmas this year at my house or I'm going to get some really strange looks from the in-laws.
