Titanium Hurricane Regulator

What's it worth? Picked this up on eBay, and I'm gonna use an inline regulator instead.

Have you tried looking through the B/S/T here and on AO? From what I've seen, complete markers and they didn't bring any extra value them as I don't think they really performed any better than the AGD regs. There might be someone wanting it for the cool factor.

Lighter than the stainless regulators and of course, the 8 hole mod. Appealing to the cool factor.

just saw this thread.

I have used one of those on my regular mag for over 15 years. I disagree that they are not better than the standard reg. They are more consistent and increased the accuracy of my mag. My mag is still one of the most accurate guns that I have ever shot. Sure paint/barrel matching is key, but so is consistent regulator pressures and even airflow to the older bolts. (i don't have a level 10 in my older mag).

Plus... the cool factor of it being titanium, and having 8 holes. Does mess up my color scheme though.

I've got one exactly like that - a badly anodized, black ALUMINUM, Hurricane Lab valve. Mines also got a pretty little box and yours.. is gutted. Not too common but not quite that valuable either.

Diamond Lab was a paintball parts company out of new Jersey

they produced the Hurricane aftermarket Mag valve back in two variants

1. purplish Titanium
2. black Aluminum

Both do a wonderful job of dropping the weight compaired to the stock stainless steel A.I.R. valve rear, while providing a higher flow eight hole mod.

Extremely well made and durable, the aluminum version allows you to annodize to match your marker, while the titanium version has the durability of stainless without the weight.

Hurricane (Titanium) MSRP $ 59, (Aluminum) $ 39.90

I got a $ 3 discount as they sold me an early Production Model, unmarked for sale

As Tom Kaye has stated time and time again, that specific regulator mod only effects performance if the holes line up, and in the case of the Diamond Labs backs they generally do not. AGD offered to update old valve backs free of charge for years, and any valve made after some point in the late 1990s is set up for optimal flow. The Diamond Labs backs do nothing but offer slight weight reduction. It most certainly will not make your gun "more accurate" or give it "longer range".

For what it's worth, these were made by the same guy who made crummy clones of the Micromag with bad specs and no detent, and produced the near-useless BooYahh ELCD frame (a cheap attempt to copy the Centerflag frames). Diamond Labs was a shill for Francois Louvett, a guy whose morals and integrity lay somewhere just below Bill Gardner and ever so slightly above satan himself. QC and reliability were always at the bottom of the list at Diamond Labs; that's why most players don't hold their product in high regard.
