Rochester NY
Rochester whats your deal? 14 million people show up to open play, but we can only muster up 7 teams for the NPL tourny (combined 3 man & 5 man teams!). We obvioiusly have players out there, come on out and support your local paintball field and have some fun. Try something other than the typical boring open play. Plus they give away prizes if you win, not many tourny's do that during these trying times.
Paintball + compitition + free **** ...I mean come on, whats not to like.

Apparently there will be a tourny in the next few months. Gather up some friends and start a 3 man team. If you cant, just show up. Last tourny my teammate blew out his hamstring, luckily some rando was there hoping to jump on a team so he was there to fill a spot.

alot of rochester or NY players in gerneral play in regonal or national events rather than NVP's league. What with paintball being very expensive, most play in one leauge.

Yeah, there are a few leagues all over arn't there. Just sucks when you arnt part of a team yet that competes on a league level yet. So why not rally the people who are in the same boat to come out and give it a shot.

all of the hardcore players from rochester really stopped playing expect for a few.
Mostly is newbys who show up for open play. Give it two years the all those newbys will start competing. competitive paintball is a cycle and right now it is low in rochester.

True, but no harm in trying to inspire some of these new players to come out and play. Alot are young new players, which makes the atmosphere at times trying on your patience.

lol i do the most. I am the kid with the a1 angel at nvp. I do everything for this newbies. I let them hold my gun, hell i even let a few of them play with it. My left over paint goes to them since i cant use it at practice and i barely do open play. I give out alot of advice about working together, playing strategies, and play about half my level and hopper ball it the whole day.
Some kid yesterday was scrabbling around the floor picking up paintball so he could play next week. Scampered right under my table, not gonna lie it was really annoying, so i throw him a 500 bag and told him to scram. The kid smiled then scampered away
The truth is when i was starting, people did this for me. So now it is time to pay it back

Ha, you can give yourself away by the gun you use...
But thats exactly what I'm talking about. Helping out the new kids to get them into the sport and want to play. Pay it forward.
