Wasn't the original factory dwell 8ms - which was later changed to 9ms? I didn't think it was ever as low as 7ms.

OK well my etek3 was purchased in January of 2011, just checked the stamp on the barrel and it's 1009

I took my barrels into work and had a machinist check the bore and it is indeed .689 (17.5 mm for us civilized folk who use the metric system )

As Nicky has confirmed that that is a batch number, then yes, I would have to presume that all barrels within a batch were made to the same specification.

I did read the last email you sent to me, and I posted on it in the forum, however this user has good proof that it was at one time .693. If you could please take a minute to make a post in the thread explaining this situation, we'd all really appreciate it. No idea who Ricky Ricardo is but i can shed a little light on this subject for you all......

The ONLY place that i can find where 0.693 is specifically mentioned is on that Tech Spec in the Etek3 mini-site; everywhere else that the bore size is mentioned, including the Etek3 Manual itself, we do not specifiy a bore size.

Having spoken with Jack this morning he has confirmed that the bore size is 0.693. Sorry for adding to the confusion with my answer above - testament to the fact that you have to ask the right person to get the right answer!

my stock barrel has a stamp in the back that reads (1003) what does that mean .............. i know when they say bore sizes it reads .089 .093 etc ..... but what does 1003 mean ????

You may want to send it back to PE for a exchange. It should be .693

The shaft 3 kit comes with a .685 and .689 barrel backs.
