Ninja tank stuck again.

So this time my ninja tank reg is stuck in a proto airport on/off ASA.
Im tired of it, any suggestions on how to get it out?

its a brass bonnet this time around.
These tanks have cost me too much money.

Same problem here, my tank is stuck inside my 07 ego's ASA. I already got all the air out of the tank but still no luck

Sorry to revive this thread from the dead but its better than making another one for the same problem..

I have done this a couple of times already and its really annoying when it happens. I have read somewhere to stick a o-ring inside the asa to avoid over tightening.. Has anyone tried this? or is there another solution that I havn't discovered yet?

Sometimes it's not as simple as that.
It has to do the tolerances of the threading of the bonnet versus the asa.
A lot of times the asa is made over seas and they run their tolerances high usually, that doesn't always mesh well with some bonnets depending on their tolerances.
That leads to gauling or binding.

Got it, I think I understand what your saying. Its almost an unavoidable issue unless going to a remote tank setup or deal with it..

Maybe before the next time you screw your tanks in, use Triflow.

OLD FEEDBACK!

Why do people do this wanna-be hk thing? I mean hk people dont even play paintball, they just whine and start drama while wearing the ugliest stuff. Seriously you find light blue and pink to be attractive colors for your parents 1500 dollar investment (your gun/marker)? If you want to whine keep it off the field and save it for the internet; O wait! THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO! Haha, if you don't play then don't whine.

I want your G6r parts and upgrades, sell them to me, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

When you screw your air system into your asa or on/off, dont just freely spin it until it bottoms out. The proper way to install an air system into your ASA or on/off is to spin the bottle until its about to be seated all the way and then turn it slowly until it stops. If you freely spin the bottle till it stops and the pocket inside your asa or on/off is not deep enough, the top of your regulator bonnet can fuse with with the metal on the inside of the pocket, basically locking them up. Also, use some lube on the threads of your regulator that screw into the asa or on/off. that way, you're not screwing metal on metal.

You can try using the o-ring trick but if the pins are too short in the asa or on/off, it might not be long enough to activate your pin on the top of your regulator, causing the marker to starve for air. Just something to consider if you try this.

And by use lube Rob means use some grease.. Like Dow111 or Dow33. Try to avoid using any oil in the ASA.

Thanx fellas.. I do use gr33se (i think that's how the brand is spelled) on the threads.. I pretty much was free spinning the bottle until it stopped being in a hurry.. I have to remember not to do that..

No worries. This is something most players do. Another good thing to do is clean out any debris found in the threads of your asa or on/off every once in a while. I just cleaned the one out on our shop Geo 2.1 and I was surprised to see all the dirt coming from the threads.

I got to chime in. This is a battle between regs and ASA's for me for the last over 10 years. If your reg starts to thread then gets tight your ASA has a tapered thread (oversea manufactured). CGA specs which our valves and regs are made to are all straight threads here in the USA since inception of valves some 25 years ago. It should screw in freely. Straight thread to straight thread is free spinning, straight to tapered gets tight one turn in (am I correct everyone out there?). If it hangs up you can understand that it is tapered. Does not matter if you are buying a $1,600 gun or a $40 gun. I have been to events with a GO/NO GO gauge and demonstrated.
A 1/2" pipe thread is close (tapered) but not a CGA320 thread.

Ninja tank stuck on ninja remote as well...

Hey I'm really digging this thread from its grave...I purchased a ninja tank and remote line for my marker today. I'm having the same issue that was aforementioned. I don't think I cross threaded it as it seems to be flush and even all around but I can't look within the assembly obviously. Any advice or help as to how I can salvage both pieces without destroying either (I just bought them today ) would be very much appreciated!

Also as an addon I'm new to CO, raised my gun from the dead like this thread, and decided to get some peripherals...turning the remote knob doesnt seem to pressurize the line or the gun when I had it hooked up despite the gauge reading at 3 out of 6(x1000) on the psi gauge (its a 48cu/3000 tank), so I'm assuming its pressurized (it sounds empty when you knock on it)

Thanks for any help you can offer!

I always see people over torque their tanks into their ASAs and this happens. Not saying it happened with you but its usually the cause.
