Trracer Barrel thread

i guess I had a question about the barrel compatability with the gun but I found some info that would be suited to be posted here
Quote: The Inflicted
"Kaner fits.
DYE boomstick and ultralite fit.
WGP stock barrels fit.
CMI barrels fit.
Smart Parts teardrop fits.
Stiffi fits.
J&J
Furious Lotus
Lucky Un1tec
14 inch apex2
Lurker Eigenbarrel
CP 2 piece,w/minimal wobble

The problem I've run into is that some barrels are actually too skinny for the pump to be stabilized. This was especially evident on the Stiffi. Easy fix though; just wind a little electrical tape around a segment of the barrel where the pump will contact it and problem solved."

if you guys also find any other barrels that work let us know

I also saw that the outside diameter was 1" as said by someone.

My old-style Freak fits just fine, as does my hard chrome J&J and CCM S6 stock barrel. My Apex fits, but is too short to allow the pump to fully run forward. I'd think really the only barrels that might be too slim are the carbon fiber tubes, Stiffis and Deadlywinds. Most Cocker barrels, even the older ones that were a little trimmer, had at least a section that was 1" (the old knuckle for those who remember on old tubes).

I used mine with a Furious lotus barrel and shot nicely. I also tried the Lucky Un1tec and it fit fine too. But did seem to have some wiggle.

Yep. I've used my Trracer twice with my Lurker Eigenbarrel.
Pump was very wobbly but certainly usable. Many people were shot.
I haven't bothered to tape-wrap it though since I think my Trracer is more fun to use with my 10" Kaner.

This may not be the best place for this thread, but it seemed adequate. I have been looking all over, and I can't seem to find what threads the Tracer takes. It's built like the old PMI, so does that mean that it takes spyder threads? Other pages make it sound like it takes A5 threads. And here it's made to sound like it takes Cocker threads. I want to pic this gun up, but I would like to now ahead of time what ind of barrel upgrades are available

The old PMI Trracer from the mid-'90s was the same gun as the ACI Maverick.
Its barrel threads were unique to the Trracer family of guns (Trracer/Maverick/Tagmaster/Hornet)
Nothing else will fit.

The new Empire Trracer is a completely different gun.
They take standard Autococker barrels.

CP 2-piece fits with minimal wobble. And yes, sometimes it's hard to get the back unscrewed.

Please don't "up" threads. There's no real need for it.

Just wanted to add that my evil pipe kit works well with the new trracer. slight wobble but i have not noticed anything that hampers play.

I have a J&J barrel on mine with limited wobble, pump stroke seems smoother.
Lurker fits, but theres just too much wobble.
Proto 1 piece fits.
Honestly, I like the stock barrel the best, theres no wobble, and the bore is nicely done.

If it wobbles with the Eigenbarrel just wrap the barrel in some electrical tape until it doesn't. Problem solved.
