Leak from reg set screws

So the gun is leaking from the "lock screws", I have changed o-rings that I thought might be the problem, no luck.
I was thinking about loctiting them in to stop the leak but figured I should ask people who have dealt with luxes before I went there.

Feel free to give any suggestions even if they seem like common sense, just in case I missed something.

Thanks guys.

If you're talking about the two little 1\16 screws that hold keep the reg from coming apart.. don't loctite those. Those shouldn't leak... I've never even heard of them leaking. I would imagine it's an O-ring. Try cleaning the reg and replacing O-rings. You're pressure might be a little high too? What's it chrono'ed at?

I took apart the whole reg and cleaned/lubed and replaced o-rings per manual instructions. it leaks unless I have the pressured screwed all the way down

You can not develop a leak at the reg housing set screws.

I believe that you mean you are leaking at the reg adjustment screw. Did you remove the snap-ring and remove the adjustment screw during you tear down...or did you tear down to just the piston?

There are only 3 sealing o-rings on the lower reg housing. One of those must be missing, and or torn up. Probably the smaller of the two outer o-rings. Nothing else would cause a leak around the locking screws.

Yea, its not those screws. In my luxe those screws stripped right out when I unscrewed them, obviously I couldn't put them in again but everything was fine.

check the area around the bottom of the piston, if it is scored up or galled, it can create a leak thru the set screws, the leaks at the set screws can be caused by a bad piston itself (#14 in the diagram), the top piston oring or either of the bottom 2 orings. The set screws actually should be loctited in with BLUE loctite when installed as the set screw should not be overtightened which can distort the housing.
Hope this helps,

I've had this problem before and the piston oring will need to be swapped out. Check your reg seat for good measure.

Makes sense, that's the closest oring between the air inside and the lock screws.
