I'm liking the new Nose! Looks sweet!
*
I shoot a SeeD'ed Rotor and a P-Boarded Pinokio. Both are killer, you can't go wrong with either. Don't understand why anyone would bash it, at least they are trying to innovate, and improve the design.

But you *are* carrying those two pods... they're just in your loader instead of on your back; but in addition, you're also carrying around a large loader. Even in the "off-the-break" scenario I mentioned earlier, you could just carry an extra pod on your and reload while shooting... not quite the same, but close enough (IMO).
Now don't get me wrong, I know people that really like having the larger or smaller front, it's just not for me.

Terrible and ridicoulously oversized. I could only see the hopper potentially helping back center and thats it

although these things might perform well, they are still ugly as sin and the profile looks awkward.

agree with you completely. those were the only two times i used mine.
pinokio makes good stuff, especially for a company that really specializes in one thing, being hoppers (I don't really think pods count), and they do an incredible job. to be honest i though the first design was ugly at first, as well as this one, but both designs have grown on me

Cant wait for this to come out so i can pick up an old one for cheap its a great hopper its light and it holds 250 paintball without the cone. Which for me is perfect you can throw a whole pod in without having to be almost empty.
The nose cone is weird I will agree i only used mine once and that was a night game where I didnt want to have to carry a pack which worked well.

When you pair a Pinokio with an Apex you have a pretty significant advantage in woodball. 400 round loader means less pods on your back and longer sustained fire. plus inbeween fights you can fill it back up. I use one of thoes medusa packs with it. its roughly 350ish on each side so you just pop the lid dump a side. then when your empty pop the lid and empty another side......2 reloads.....and about 1/2 case downfield.
For speedball/tourney ball the Pinokio is a very reliable loader. It wont break paint and even with ****ty batteries and ****ty paint itll load 12.5 all day. In semi you can shoot as fast as you want and you wont notice your loader slowing you down. Mega ramp modes probably.
I wouldnt recomend nose cone for anything other than punishing slaker players. got a player weak with snapping?....make him empty 400 into a pie plate doing 1ball check....he'll hurt and hopefully be better in the end.
Also playing a game with the nosecone is similar to weight training. When you switch back youll feel like your guns nothing. Same idea as running with 7 pods when you only shoot 4 at events.
Ive been telling Evan for years to put out a smaller version in the sub-200 ball size and....hopefully he listened to player recomendations. Im sure I wasnt alone basicly the only complaint is the size and the fact its ugly lol......if he could put the simple internals of a pinokio in a shell similar to the roto that would be IMO the perfect loader.

what i mean by it, is im not carrying those 2 extra pods on me. Which in scenario is a great thing, bc I hate nothing more then having to dump a pod someplace and hope its still there when I get back to it all due to not being able to put it back in my pack

i like how everyone that is complaining about "unneeded structure" probably have never looked at the internerals of this hooper. just so everyone knows, the lower back half of this hooper is not going to change inless he changes bored placement, the batterys used, and motor type.(hope he doesnt change any of these things) while it might not be the most eye catching hooper out there its reliability and performance is well worth the "ugly" look.(imo i dont think its ugly) cant wait to see what the final production of this hooper looks like and i will more than likly be getting one

Good to hear they are making updates to a very solid design. Never one of the prettiest loaders, the pinokio has been a solid go to loader for many including myself.
BUT... I struggle to get overly enthused with a company that promised a small pump loader nearly 2 years ago. Bitter? I sure am.

Agreed.
I see they didn't change the lid design. That was one of my biggest gripes with mine. I found it didn't open as easily as I thought it should, and it didn't close properly either. Maybe I had a dud as I don't know anyone else with a Pinokio but it still bothered me. It wasn't bad enough to make me not want to use it, it's more of a minor annoyance that I put up with to use an otherwise great loader. Everything has its flaws and you just have to accept them.
