Just changed my front brakes last weekend. Cost? $79 in parts and ~45-60m of time. I don't even want to think of what it would've cost to have a mechanic do it.

Most mechanics go for around $50ish an hour. Add on about a 25% mark up on parts. You be at...
$100 in parts
$50 in labor
$50 in additonal parts (brake fluid, springs, other misc parts added in)
Tax, disposal fees etc....
Prolly around $250 total
Although with Brakes, a lot of places offer a deal, you could probably get all 4 brakes, and an oil change in the $300ish range.

Plenty more PSP events this season.  I'm only taking 1 5-man team per event since scheduling them is a nightmare. 5-man fields are usually either always way ahead, or wayyyyyyy behind schedule.
