ever use a qev on bushy?

anyone ever use qev with the bushy. If I kind find a t2 or trayless kit I would like to mod my bushy a little. I figure a qev would allow me to run lower pressure lpr and maybe smooth out my shoots

It wont lower your LPR pressure..

Best mods you can do are to the ram. I wouldn't waste your time with a QEV

my theory is it would allow a less restrictive path for the air to flow during the backstroke. sort of the same idea as removing the spring.

This. Simply polishing and porting a ram will yield incredible gains. Plus with the noid being directly manifold mounted, not a lot of air restriction that a qv would clear up. Any gains with a QEV would be superfluous, like going from 26 to 30 bps or something.

VDub has a really informative ram data post on ICD-O, you should check it out. Match a polished ram with a nice valve, that's all you need.

i guess I take a look at the stickies on valve info
I already polished the inner ram area so its shines pretty well
I am looking to sell it but I think it would be a nice gun to mod maybe send it out to get a mill job. I just dont want to hack it up and do wrong by ICD.

Given that the Bushy is a manifold mount, I doubt that a QEV will help. If you are using a hosed setup, like the T1, I can see some possibilities. My suggestion:
Polish, polish, polish. Port. Don't devolumize unless you are using a lighter valve spring. the ram spring does help with consistency when using a stock valve spring.
