I think you misinterpreted the OP. What he's saying is that Dye, the paintball company, has started what looks to be a 'snow' division focused on the production of the i4 goggle for snowboard use. Hope that clears things up.

I doubt it'll just be the i4 - they already have the facilities and such to make soft goods and even hard goods, so we can expect goggles and clothing in the short term and possibly helmets, bindings, poles and eventually even boards and skis from them long term if things go well.

Until very recently (like a week ago) i wore my paintball goggles to snowboard in anyway and they worked fantastic. All dye would have to do is make a softer outer lens, put some air holes in the top front of the lens, and cover all the air vents with foam and they have a perfect goggle. That wouldnt take very much effort at all.

I would love to see what kind of soft goods they put out. ive always liked their style.

It makes sense for Dye to get into something else - paintball is just a money pit these days anyway. Personally I've been looking into snow gear recently and the design work from the usual snow brands is pretty boring and lame - dye could really breathe some fresh energy and style in especially for goggles and soft goods. They DO have the highest product design standards in paintball imo at least when it comes to style. I'd love to see their swoopy futuristic design ethos applied to some snow goods.

Hey you know what Dye should TOTALLY get into? Yukigassen - tournament snowball fighting. There are more yukigassen players in Japan than there are speedball players in the whole freaking world. Omigosh that would be AWESOME.
