co2 leak but not hpa!!

why does my vibe leak co2 but not with hpa? I think it's somewhere inside where the bolt is. It's all clean and lubed but it leaks co2 only. Some times I don't have the choice with air or co2 that's why I'd like to know.
thanks

It only leaks from that certain area around the bolt? Not out of the relief valve in the regulator?

yeah, I can't hear anything coming out of the reg but I can hear it near the top of the grip or so...with co2, then if I screw in hpa and take a couple shots, the leak stops....

have you tried a co2 tank with anti-siphon? you may be getting liquid into the marker and that could be causing the problem

My working theory is cold CO2 is shrinking an oring, causing a leak.

Could be that as well. Just curious, did you remove the asa wedge by any chance?

Me? I have a different, angled asa on there. My leak was from the solenoid and the oring in there was pinched by the plastic case. Almost like it overpressurized and squirted out. Weird, but easy fix.

My Max Flo R is another story.

it's a good theory but they are supposed to work with co2.

I have a different asa on it but it has an angle on it that resembles the stock angle.

Put some Dow 55 on that o-ring and it will swell it up. Then when CO2 shrinks it, it will still create a seal.

Worth a try.

I found that the techT grease that I was using on the bolt was letting some air blow by. I switched grease, I used dow33 and the leak is gone with co2 and air.
On an other note. I had one more problem... The o-ring inside the solenoid...The housing is square and the o-ring had popped out of the side!! go figure...so, I opened up the solenoid and put a new o-ring, closed it all up and Voila! just like new.
Maybe this can help someone out there.
SO...if you have a leak...try different greasssssssssee

My question is, why weren't you using Dow 33 in the first place? I know you probably have a Techt bolt, but you should always try a different lube before making a thread.

I don't get why people make threads when they haven't tried everything they know to fix the marker.

Why? cause it's the stuff I had when I had my A5, I figured it was lube so I slapped it on the Vibe...than when I got the Etek3 THAT'S when I started to use Dow33 (for the Reg). I'm still fairly new to this PB stuff and I don't know all the answers...That's why I posted my problemssssss. We are not all pros and know everything like you so you can chill! Aren't forums for discussing and finding out about s#!t? I guess you use it to show off to the king everyone!!

Nope, I'm not showing off. You figured the problem out yourself and you didn't need our help, therefore the thread was useless.

Also, they told you to use Techt stuff on an A5? Just put a couple of drops of paintball oil in the ASA after or before you use it every time.

Don't bypass the swear filter, you can get banned for that. Just spell out the curse word and it with either filter it out or it won't (depending on your personal settings, I have mine where it doesn't filter it out).

I use PbNation for a number of things, one of them is helping people figure out there problems with their markers. But you didn't need anyone's help in this thread, because you changed up lubricants and that fixed the problem.

I didn't figure it out by myself!...you're the one that mentioned the Dow55 and I figured I would try the Dow33 since I had some and it worked..so thanks, I should of gave you credit for it
I figured out the popped oring out of the solenoid and I didn't bother you with that question. I just posted my finding for someone maybe someday, who knows?
I don't have the A5 anymore, it would be impossible to go back to that after the Etek
