so alot of guys from my unit said they did their taxes on turbo tax and got anywhere from 1k-1.5k so i went on just now to do mine.

it says that my federal refund is $366 but that i owe pennsylvania $321 in state taxes for wages i earned from military service. PA is my permanent address.

if i file this tax return will the government start pestering me for this $321? i know if i hadnt gone onto this site to do this i would never had known i apparently owed $321 and wouldnt have had to pay it because apparently pennsylvania doesnt either.

all the income i posted on turbotax was military pay from my w2 which i had been paying taxes on all along just like all the marines ive trained with, and i dont know if it matters but none of this military pay came from training that took place in pennsylvania it all occured in south/north carolina and california.

so basically what i want to know is if i file this tax return am i going to end up having to pay this $321 at some point cus i feel like this is BS

Suggest you consult with a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance office or the legal services office on your base.

this would be an ideal situation..instead of lending our broke government 1k to 1.5k a year at 0% your able to break even and do what you want with your own money!
