Recieved this yesterday:

I am sending this email to inform you that due to lack of interest, the 3A - 3B - 5A- 5B Division will not be held at the 6th event GPL. We would like to apologize for any inconvienence this may cause. The amount of teams signed up does not justify the Prize Packages for the final event. If you have any questions in regards to entry money or overall prizes, please feel free to email me directly back at cpoole@enter.net.

Again, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you again in 2004.

In regards to the GPL 3-A-3B-5A-5B Teams, that is correct. WE are only running C Brackets. All team Captains that were signed up were notified of this cancellation. If your team was signed up and you are not aware, you need to talk to your team Captain.

Any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at cpoole@enter.net

Pre-registered teams

Are you going to be giving the teams that prepaid and preregistered full refunds, or just keeping their hard earned money?

After we get the _thousand dollars in prizes they owe us, I'll have nothing against Global. Until then, I'm not going to stop *****ing. I don't know who you are, but you really have no reason to get involved.

i like how you created a user name just to flame global. there are a lot better ways of getting your prizes. like calling their store and asking what the status of your prizes are.

im not sure if youve ever had prizes owed to you by global, but calling the store and inquiring isn't what I would call a sure bet in terms of getting any useful information.

I know of three teams off the top of my head that going into the 6th event were owed prizes, one of which had issues getting their over-all prizes last season, and to be honest, i like global's series. the competition is good, the fields are nice, the reffing has its on and off days like most fields, and the people there are usually pretty nice. however, the prizes are something that doesnt seem to run smoothly, and the first events scheduling usually is tough.

I know of people who are owed prizes from months ago. I dont know about you, but id be infuriated too, so the guy who wants his prizes, in my opinion, has every right to complain, especially when i recall Global saying at the beginning of the season that theyd be giving prizes away AT the event, not later.

wckeep, thank you. Why didn't I just think of that? Just call the store and ask for the prizes...that will take care of everything! I'm sure Brian and Cyndi will be more than happy to release every item that they owe us if we would just say please. You've solved the whole problem, and I thank you. <./sarcasm>
