UPDATED: Invert Mini Generation Parts Thread! Know what parts are V1, V2, & V3

Looking over some of the stickies I noticed that the parts version/generation threads seemed to be a little outdated so I figured I would take some nice pictures and show the difference from first generation parts, all the way to third generation parts!

* PLEASE READ *
There is no "V3 Mini" or an old "V1 Mini" Only the parts are different versions! It VERY common for a marker to have mixed parts. For example, one may have a V3 Poppet but still have V1 detents and a V2 regulator. If you want to classify how "new" your marker is, you NEED to open it up and examine the parts that are installed.

NOTE: I HAVE MANY MORE PARTS TO COME AND AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS! I JUST HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME TO TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING JUST YET!

BOLT GUIDE ASSEMBLY CHANGES
POPPET

(V1-V3 from left to right)
V1 Poppet - Smaller air release hole, attached flat nylon tip, and no spring
V2 Poppet - Larger air release hole, attached flat nylon tip, and rear spring
V3 Poppet - Larger air release hole, threaded nylon tip, and rear spring

BOLT

(V1-V2 from left to right)
V1 Bolt - silver color anno
V2 Bolt - silver/blue color anno
NOTE: There is no performance difference in these parts. This would just simply tell you that your mini was produced more recently.

REGULATOR CHANGES
GAUGE
V1
V2
(V1-V2 from top to bottom)
V1 Gauge - Reads from 0-600 PSI
V2 Gauge - Reads from 0-300 PSI

Regulator OPP System & Set Screw
V1
V2V2
(V1-V2 from top to bottom)
V1 Regulator - Single keyhole style regulator opp, and set screw placed on the bottom
V2 Regulator - Four hole style regulator opp, and set screw moved to the top of the regulator

BODY/FRAME CHANGES
Warning Label
V1
V2
(V1-V2 from top to bottom)
V1 Frame - No warning labels
V2 Frame - Warning label added

TRIGGER CHANGES
Trigger Set Screw w/ Magnetic Top (HES)
V1
V2
(V1-V2 from top to bottom)
V1 HES Magnet Screw - Magnet was placed on top of set screw with adhesive.
V2 HES Magnet Screw - Magnet was threaded in bronze metal with adhesive in addition.
Note: The V1 magnet screws are easily broken off so be careful with them if you still have them!

MISC. CHANGES
DETENT

(V1-V2 from right to left)
V1 Detent - Smaller white detent, smaller detent cap.
V2 Detent - Larger white detent, larger detent cap.
Note: V1 Detents often got stuck inside the cap and caps are easily stripped, be careful if you have these!

SOLENOID
V1
V2
(V1-V2 from top to bottom)
V1 Solenoid - Large purge hole on the bottom
V2 Solenoid - Smaller purge hole on the bottom

MAIN CONTROL BOARD

(V1.6 shown above only)

V1.1-1.6 Optimus Main Control Board - The control board has had several issues over the years such as battery draining issues etc. You can find out which version you have by removing the battery and looking above the black padding.
NOTE: If anyone knows what specifically went wrong with each version please post and I will update the thread!

PACKAGING
V1
V2
(V1-V2 from top to bottom)
V1 Packaging - Older Mini's came with heavy duty metal cases with locks and thick foam inserts
V2 Packaging - Newer Mini's come with white or black cardboard box's with padded inserts
NOTE: Original cases with keys are hard to come by so if you find one I recommend keeping it! They are valued anywhere from 30-60 dollars alone.

Great bit of information.

Definitely needs a sticky of its own.

No offense to the person who made the last thread on how to identify which version mini you have but this one makes it much easier to identify in my opinion. Good job man.

Sticky this!

Is it just my screen or in the poppet/detents photos it's hard to see the white parts over a white background?

Maybe you can adjust the levels of those pics.

Yeah I can throw in a red/yellow/blue/green background in for those items. I will just need a little more time to get everything organized.

Maybe you could add a guide at the start for the upgrades that are worth it to take a v1 or v2 mini to v3 spec. For instance, the v1 poppet, bolt guide, and trigger should all be upgraded, IMO, but the other changes may be not as important. If you could talk to someone from KEE to get the serial numbers for each, it would make this thread a true juggernaut of awesomeness. Nice job

I will speak with KEE today but IMO I'd say its not necessary to make these updates if the marker works fine with them. However if you get one leak, just one time, from a poppet, then it should be updated. That way you can hold a marker that you trust will work on the field.

And you mean serial numbers from when each part was released?

I'd be glad to alter and update the thread as necessary until its just right.

This will definitely be a sticky. I believe there are two posts others covering the same topic (including the current stickied posts) but this is the easiest to work with.

I'd like to see a break down of the boards as listed per request.

I just got off the phone with KEE and they said nothing was recorded about when certain parts were release in correspondence with the serial numbers.

However I would like to know what the issues were with the 1.1-1.5 so people can look out for these issues.

They also got rid of one of the groves for the rear frame screw that holds the bolt guide in place. And like you said, the air hole was added.

I wouldn't see it necessary to upgrade.

Two minor changes were made to the bolt guide. They added a little hole on the bolt guide where the bolt moves back and forth. This is so if something stops the bolt from moving forward (let's say, you finger) there is a place for the excess pressure to release. The other thing is they removed one of the grooves on the back of the bolt guide for the rear grip frame screw. There used to be two for some reason, even though it can only be put on one way since the guide has to go over that tiny retaining pin on the back of the body.

Thanks for this update - mine was quick and dirty, and a LONG time ago. Since I am no longer involved in playing paintball - I don't have the ability to update my thread with more recent/better photos.

Great job on this, and thank you for taking the time to do a second write up
I'm sure the mods could merge these two threads with all the right info into one badass thread

What I hope to do is once I get my hands on the law few parts (like I still need the v1 bolt guide and v1 air transfer tube) and just make sure I cover everything all the previous threads did, plus more. That way we don't have to link 3+ threads together and can just have one organized thread with good pictures and information!
