Just for those of you wanting to own monitors, I thought I'd share my latest build.

The cage is 7x4x4. Inside I keep the monitor pictured above, he's just shy of 4 feet and the cage I had him in was only a temp until I could get him into something bigger. So here we have this one, Got a decent paycheck and built this. The best part? This is only a temporary cage, one that I'm replacing in a few months when I have half a garage to dedicate to his new enclosure, which will be 12X8X6 or so, and I have 2 monitors that get large and need lots of room.
I know how "awesome" monitors are and whatnot, however they are a HUGE commitment, and I wouldn't be able to provide for them without a very undrestanding family and fiance.

they get a lot bigger, i have two an adult and a juvie, the adult i don't even attempt to handle and has gotten so big i have to keep him in his own pond. the juvie i try to handle but he is an major handful, while he is little i would try to handle him weekly so he is used to it and maybe not as aggressive as he gets older. when they get bigger they have very real power and are hard to handle, they really can take off a finger even when a juvie and worse as they get to be an adult.
honestly they can be a headache, i hope you have a lot of room and time for him.
