wonder if there would be aggression issues between a red tail shark and denison barbs due to body shape.

Most of the plants in there were large amazon swords. Then varias smaller java ferns and assorted smaller plants in other areas.

Haha you're kinda right on the fish. At the time this was taken there was a large firemouth, but the fish in the bottom left corner is a Geophagus brasiliensis.
In the pic: (all are hiding cause they saw the flash)
1 red tiger oscar
1 geophagus
1 chocolate cichlid
1 sun catfish/eclipse catfish
2 festivum
2 large angels
1 pleco
2 rather large silver dollars

ok. i'm settled on the 75 gallon.

the difference is like $150 between that and the 60 gallon that comes with a stand.

I did my math wrong. The 75 and 90g wont suit my future goal.

Does anybody here use a 150g? I saw one today at petsmart and I LOVE the shape. A lot more "floor space" than the stupid 75 or 95. It is a bit deeper than I was hoping for though.

I had a custom that took up about the same floor space as a 150
It was 120 though because of where my overfill cutout is.

I'm also getting another one and it'll be the same dimensions. Only changing up the glass and a couple minor changes.

What are you trying to do?

What shape was it?

What is your future goal?

I'm trying to create an environment with more than adequate space for my current and future inhabitants.

It was almost cube shaped, lovely but too tall.

Current tenants: 5" black Ghost knife, 3x 5" Bichirs, 5" Pictus catfish, and I've got 4x 3" emerald corys in quarantine (just got them tonight).

Mink: What did that cost you? I've got plenty of room for this project.

The original tank was a 120 gallon 6x2x3

The current tank has the same dimensions.
Black bottom and side panels. Overflow center mounted on one of the sides
Starphire glass on both of the long sides.
3300

If you want I have a decent relation with a tank builder and can grab a quote. Most of the cost of mine is in the glass and custom sizing.

Hopefully getting it about a month from now.
Going to upgrade my Laos newts again.

Yeah, you're going to need at least a 24" deep tank for the ghost knife. They get up to 15-18" and you don't want them fighting to turn around.

The way you were talking, I thought you were wanting to get rays or something.

It was $3300? Damn, you can get a 400 gallon tank for that.

http://www.fishtanksdirect.com/400Ga...m96x30x36.aspx

I'd love a ray, but I just don't want to take on that challenge. My lfs has them though, very neat

I'll get the dimensions on the 150 tomorrow, its definitely 24" or more. I couldn't touch the bottom of it with my arm.

I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about. I went to the lfs up here in MD (TDY) and they have what I believe is a 150 set up, stand and canopy for like $1700ish.

Its a reef aquarium, so its more square than rectangle.

Damn that's crazy. What all did it come with?

The tank I'm looking at just comes with the stand, tanks, and lights. It's on sale for $629. Definitely a good deal from a local store (no sales tax in DE).

I've been doing further research on these emerald corys. Lots of people breed these with moderate success, that's cool. Turns out I got 2 males and 2 females by luck. Hopefully I get 1&1 when I get the last two for their shoal.
