I love that gray/yellow tang he looks so cool. Between me my brother and my dad we have a naso tang, sailfin tang, purple tang, kole tang, yellow tang and a blue hippo tang but I have never seen one like the one you have. Mind giving me the name of it? I have to have one .

Heres the Naso, yellow and kole eating some Nori:

It's a tomini flame fin tang, the yellow on his fins will turn orange as he gets older.

We have a fish tank, but it always ends up getting a TON of algae in it because my dad is lazy so he never cleans the tank, and I never walk by the tank, so I never think about it. How do you keep a fresh water tank from getting a massive amount of algae on it? We only have a couple of very small fish in it right now, and I know next to nothing about fish, so I'm up for anything.

well to begin, 10%-15% weekly water changes! This is probably the source of your problems if your dad is lazy. I am not sure about freshwater, but saltwater needs RO/DI water to prevent massive algae breakouts.

Less light, more water changes... Is it near a window that has natural sunlight coming in? Also it takes only 5 minutes a day to scrape your tank/keep it decent looking if its not too big, stop being lazy is your best bet.

water changes and just walk by it. or scrap it. honestly, no need to hurt the fish/anymore fish seeing as it sounds like you wont really be taking care of it cause you "dont walk by it"

They're my dads fish, not mine, jeez. I'll look into some of those suggestions, thanks.

Finally got our 14 gallon cycled. Four albino corydoras and a bit of a hodgepodge of mollies and platies. Going to look into attempting a small planted tank with a 10g, but I'm honestly not sure if it'll be worth the effort.

The biocube doesn't have 14g of usable space due to the all-in-one nature of it. Our 14g is an AGA that came in a kit on sale for $40. We upgraded from a 5g. Buying that 5g was the biggest mistake I made with fishkeeping, right up there with not learning what the nitrogen cycle was. We've got a 40 Breeder sitting around from Petco's big tank sale, but no room to set it up.
