A year and a half ago it was called the future of the sport. A year ago companies like Bob Long and Planet Eclipse came up with conversion kits incase it really took off. The 50 cal thread was a real hostile environment with very heated debate mostly against the new caliber. I mean it is nothing for somebody to have $500 or more in one marker and the idea of that becoming obsolete sooner because of a new caliber sickend alot of us. Fast forward to present day there is usually one person on this thread. I think the people have spoken and they don't want 50 cal and they don't want it forced on them either.
Dont be fooled, there are some who approach this with an open mind, ignore the hype and the naysayers...and try the 50 cal out for what it is...
Personally, I really like it, I have a nano and it shoots really nicely.
I can afford to play more often as the paint is almost half the price for a box of 2000.
Yes, range is shorter, yes, people dont feel it as easy, yes the mark is smaller...weve all been over that...sick of hearing it...BUT...I LIKE IT!
Im playing a big event here in Australia soon called d-day, and Im shooting 50 cal BY CHOICE!
I can carry and shoot an entire case of paint...players dont see the paint coming, 2 things I really like about it.
