As some of you saw, I did some custom fly paper for the joy a1 fly and I promised a tutorial.
So here goes.
*Warning-Wolfie takes no reponsibility if you **** your **** up*
What you need
-Angel 1 Fly, or Fly grips(For those with a standard A1 and fly grips)
-A sheet of your favorite color grip tape for skate boards(I chose leopard print for a joy A1 Fly)
-A cutting mat/cutting surface
-A box cutter/razor blade/scissors/sharp cutting tool
-A straight edge of some sort to aid in cutting
-a pick to remove old fly paper
-A thin sharpie
-Start by removing your old fly paper and setting it aside.
-Next, using a piece of fly paper from the grips, measure out a width slightly wider then it on the piece of grip tape. Cut that strip from the large sheet as shown below.
-This new piece is easier to work with then the giant one.
-Now align your old pieces of fly paper on the back of the strip of grip tape as seen below-
-Using the sharpie, trace the pieces carefully as seen below
-From here, use the cutting tool of your choice to cut out the pieces. I prefer using a razor for the straight lines and scissors for the curves
And in the end you should have this-
Now flip the pieces over and see your art work-
From here, remove the backing from the pieces and fit them to the correct locations on the marker. Please note some trimming my be necessary to make all the pieces lay correctly.
IT MAY TAKE 5 OR 6 TRIES TO GET IT ALL CORRECT. But in the end....
Now set up your marker and go rape faces....
Any questions holler.
