e30 m3s are all beat around here, but thats not a bad idea, i'll certainly keep my eyes open. only corrados worth buying in these parts will still fetch 10 grand and im not paying five figures for a 20 year old fail wheel drive.
yeah, ive looked at 3 s4's that were near 7.5 but none of them were worth buying. im mostly hoping a killer deal comes along.

nah. as i mentioned i dont drive much so mileage and reliability arent important to me. i'd rather have something thats fun to drive than something that get 35+ on the highway.

Gas mileage aside, reliability is still a priority. **** won't do you any good when you have to replace something every time you want to take it out for a drive.

Anything that I won't have to force myself into, other than an old bimmer?
EDIT: How is this e30?

Im looking at buying a 2003 BMW 3-Series 325i.
They guy offered me 11,000 safetied, etested, winter tires and 18'' rims ( i dont know if they come with 18s, he made it sound like he put them on tho. Im going to try and go 10,500 without the winter tires, is that a good deal for me? should it be lower?

I would like a few fairly serious opinions.
Right now I have a 2008 Nissan Altima. It's a great commuter car, but I no longer have to commute, and I'm single and too young for a plain family car. It's got no power, and it's not the sexiest thing on the block.
So, I'd like to buy a car. I'm looking for something with a bit of get-up-and-go, and some decent trim options. I guess a BMW-esque car would be my ideal, but I want to see if there's any other decent options out there. Even classic cars... I'm not too picky.
My window is 20-30k, with the maximum amount I'd be willing to spend is 30k (so.... no new bimmer for me).
So... what should I look into?

that market is basically loaded with econoboxes
so pick any of the above
wait. hyundai genesis!
look. i'm being helpful!
also, it's been drawn to my attention that mazdaspeed 3's and gti's are in your price range (i thought they were at least 30...heh) and that the ralliart lancer doesn't suck as much as i thought

indeed...
i would say that the wrx really is the best choice in that market, but i'm also biased and unfamiliar with the rest of the offerings

Only losers call it the rabbit.
For that much, you could go a tad bit older and pick up a GTI or GLI.

If you're looking at the wrx I would suggest checking out mazdaspeed3. Cheaper, quicker, more hp&tq, nicer interior. imo all around better

actually soagg... the speed3 doesnt hold anything over the new wrx anymore... in fact the new wrx is faster and has about the same power numbers as the 3, except its not wrong wheel drive. so with the wrx you get more performance then you would in the speed3, but without driving a car thats wrong wheel drive and very horribly styled.

Good catch, I forgot they changed from 225ish to 265ish back in 08-09+.

nobody answered me
i'm about 90% sure that i'll end up getting the gt-r, but i keep thinking that something like an m3/rs5 would be much more livable/practical while still being fun. plus, girls would be more comfortable in the back seat
