I'm pretty sure that isn't Jurd's dyno. I thought he made like 2 something to the wheels

No no no! thats not my dyno sorry i should have made that more clear.

Im probably making more like 200-220 at the wheels. I plan on doing a dyno soon but i want to get an emlulator and lean my car up a bit im in the mid 10s for afrs and i know i could free up some power by leaning it up a bit. I also want to instal water meth and jack the boost up before i dyno. Im shooting for a solid 250 at the wheels with that stuff.

Eventually ill swap to the 16v head throw a set of rods in her and pump the boost to around 25 and make close to 400. But im going to stick with what i have until after im settled in up in portland.

That has ran across my mind once or twice. I have also considered a twin turbo 350 or a ford 5.0.

But out of all engine swaps, the most likely is a 2.5L inline 5cly out of a volvo 850 with a single turbo.

Chances are i will build a 16v redblock and be happy with 400whp

Thats under a grand.

$3,000 more and he could build a header, a better intake manifold do some head work, order some custom camshafts, and slap a holset hx40 on it, and im sure he could make more like 550whp if not 600.
wait. so you're not a ****ing retard, but your idea of a propper build is one that the actual owner admits "the turbo is unhappy at current boost levels," "it might make it through one more weekend at the track," has "lots of surge below 4k," is generally not as enjoyable as a legit turbo, and "is begining to smoke on decel." Yeah, that sounds awesome.

Sorry, but I'd rather be a ****ing retard and have my car not do any of that.

Ebay.Turbo.

Nuffsaid. It is the weakest link in the whole thing, and the fact that all that power came from very little investment is nice.

Its a 120$ ebay turbo pushing 25psi pretty much expected. I didnt have to post the quote of him saying that stuff, i did because i thought it was funny. The turbos not only a piece of **** falling apart its a huge restriction and he still made nearly 400whp

A $300 holset would make more power and be more reliable.

Yeah, enough said to know I don't want any part of it. Making power for the bare minimum investment knowing its a ticking timb bomb has never been cool to me, sorry.

It's no problem of ours that you don't understand or that you exist for the sole purpose of looking cool. Your lack of understanding doesn't undermine anything previously posted in the thread.

It's still more unique than most builds I've seen. Credit where credit is due.

I like boost.

IDK ebay turbos aren't THAT bad. I have a friend who has a built honda and he ran 10psi for a long time, then 15psi on the turbo for ~6k miles, all while surging(which he only recently admitted was surge) and his turbo worked amazing for the 120 dollar turbo it is/was.

Understandable, just keep in mind what the car is used for. I understand that for a daily driver going dirt cheap and having a car thats on the edge of failure would be stupid. But that car that i was quoting is purely a toy, he beats the **** out of it he drives it like its stolen and pushes it to its limits. And when you drive a car like that its better to have a bare minimum investment. Throw a rod out the block at 7000rpm. Oh well build another motor for 400 bucks.

See my point?
