i wish they made a 245 35 that wasnt retarded expensive.

Or a 235 40 even.

225 was the widest i could go and keep the OD where i need it and short sidewall

i totally agree though.

So my cars running on Megasquirt now. Slowly teaching myself how to tune haha.

Still running pump gas for now, but ill be strapping an 044 under the car and running 1,500cc injectors with e85 soon. Similar setup hit 350 wheel at 17psi sooo my longterm goals are going to be 400wheel on a bone stock block and head just a cam and some H beams.

Im excited to be driving it again hopefully ill get some new pictures up soon

There's a guy at school who has one of these now. I'm jelly.

I wish I had gotten something like this. Plenty of performance stuff if you want it, plenty of style if you don't, and it's old enough that I wouldn't care if it got beat up, because i'd just spray paint the ***** back to whatever I want. I nearly cried the other day when an SUV threw a tire into my bumper and scratched the **** out of it. I never thought I'd say this, but I really wish I didn't have a new car. #firstworldproblems

Well, theres not a lot of performance stuff actually. No aftermarket support. You want it to go quick and corner decent okay ipd and rsi got you set. But if you want it to go fast and handle properly then you need to know how to weld and read a few books on forced induction and suspension computational geometry lol. They are fun cars to build, you learn A LOT.

Hey derv, I'm going to design a chassis as a direct swap kit to convert the 240 series into a single seat racecar.

Someday.

How are you going to be tuning? What parameters/compensations? I assume you'll just be doing "street tuning" or do you have access to a dyno?

Theres nothing in tunerstudio i wont play with. That being said the ve table, afr table, and spark tables mainly. The afterstart enrichment and warmup enrichment are dialed in pretty good i might have to tweek my req fuel but i cant really know until i play with the under load stuff some more. My tunings done on the street for now. If i ever actually get happy with my engine setup (Like quit changing parts out and adding stuff all the time) then i may actually pay for a real dyno tune. Im going to a bigger cam, building a header in the next few months. Waiting on a members group buy for cast intake manifolds. If he flakes ill build one etc. Dyno tune right now would be a waste of money.

Cool beans. Just build the manifold, cast stuff sucks. I don't really have much experience with tuning without a dyno, tuning on an engine dyno is pretty awesome. Being able to lock in certain RPMs and throttle positions makes doing AFR and spark tables pretty easy. You should tune your setup with any changes though, not just major ones. You can get pretty decent improvements if you are willing to go a bit more aggressive with the tune.

Cast stuff doest suck, in fact its quite the opposite. Casting allows you to choose much more specific flow paths. Cast manifolds have high rpm benefits over simple sheet metal setups.

simple sheet metal considering that the majority of engines are cast i was half joking. you can always P&P it anyways.
