Hi. My Girlfriend and I, soon to be engaged, plan on getting a husky when we get married. She has had one previously and I've wanted one for a long time so we are both very ready and excited. We both work and will be working full time and going to school during our first years so I was wondering would this be a bad time to get a husky since we will both probably be gone from home for long periods of time, although maybe at different times of the day. We can hardly wait and I can't imagine waiting any longer after we get married. If you've had any experience please share.

my male we got him when he was few weeks old, he was crate trained for first 6-8 months, in the same time we got our female she was already 6 months old and lived out side. she took more work but eventualy calmed down in the crate.

my job had me at work from 6am-4pm for fist 9 months, then deployment, where my wife took care of the dogs. she walked dogs in am, went to school in am. back to feed dog sand walk on lunch. work from 12-8 and then home for a second meal and walks. the dogs were crated while at school and work. went to dog park for 2-3 hours on weekends and her days off.

have not had any issues since ive gotten back in last year and half. we keep the dogs down stairs to roam as they please. no issues.

they are the greatest dogs to own in my opinion. Ours passed away over a year ago and it was tough trying to get over it, they're like family. It still is.

I have a ten y/o female who was very dominant to our black lab. He passed away at 14 in december and we got a 7 week old pitbull lab mix on Saturday. My husky still will not accept him and tries to bite him at every chance and is not very happy with my parents or me at the moment. How do I get her to accept the puppy?
