Mine does that all the time, on the kitchen floor, in her dog house... All over.

how does your husky handle the heat? I have always wanted one but I worry about their heat tolerance.

when i lived in fl(largo) my huskies were there for about 10 months. got 2 cups water in morning, 2 at lunch/mid day and 1 around 5 with dinner. never had a problem did shed a bit more.

now im in california/sd and they get 2 in am, 1 and 1 with same time schedule and they are fine. ofcorse when we go out run/or backyard they get 2 when we get in.

My dog actually seeks out the sunny spots in the yard. Her summer coat seems to do a really good job of keeping her cool. I am sure being all white helps too. The warm weather really doesn't seem to bother her at all. She used to spend hours off shore fishing with me too stretched out on the deck in the sun. Best mate I have ever had except she ate the bait if I wasn't watching.

haha yea, but not as much as she 'buries' things. I remember when she was really young, she took a piece of rawhide and tried 'nosing' it into the corner of the room. Of course it didn't get hidden because it was on carpet, and she started crying, it was so cute but she looked like a ******* lol. She usually takes rawhide and hides it in the sheets, and noses the sheets to cover it.

Heres one attempt at burying a treat:

Over summer I took her to the dog park almost every single day for a couple hours. She drank extra water and took an extra break or two compared to when its colder, but thats it. Really if you think about it, if its an inside dog, its going to roughly be the same temperature year round, minus when you go for walks and/or if you go to the park. They also take it into account by shedding extra.

You'd be surprised how many huskies there are down here too. I used to go to the park and there would be 5 or 6 other huskies and no other dogs there

This guy is just amazing to watch crash through the woods.

I have never seen a husky take to water like this guy. He would spend all day under the hose or standing in a water bucket.

My sister's Husky Panda loved water too

Grim, that 2nd pic looks JUST like mine from that angle with a little more red on top. She does the same thing and rests her head on the window sill to look out.

Mopho, that eye is ****ing intense. Cute mix

schmedley, love the pic of her running

This thread needs moar pics. I'll take some tomorrow at the park
