Meet MAX, Empire Axe with Mini Front Grip
This is now AMI!!
For those of you with Virtue OLED boards and looking to upgrade to the Axe, just to show it's possible to have the best of both worlds. Be aware though that the first front grip I tried was slightly too small to slide on but I've tried 2 others and they fit fine.
This should tide me over until Virtue release a door for the Axe or I can get my existing door cut to fit.

EDIT: Thanks Boss for the info about wriggling the grip screws to get the Axe Front Grip onto the Mini! I've decided to change names, the Axe with Mini grip is now ... AMI ... and the Mini with Axe Grip is now ... MAX ... as I think MAX looks meaner :-) Enjoy.

hmmm that looks nice... like the look better than the round AXE foregrip in all honesty.
Is there any reason to really go back to the AXE foregrip? Aside form thje one not sliding on smooth, any other issues getting it to fit, or positioning of the set screws?

Hmmm... good question. I guess it was because my spare mini is currently sitting on the wall without a grip installed.... maybe I'll try installing the Axe grip and making AXIM :-)
It's pretty much a perfect fit, if you force it there's a tiny bit of movement but the set screws seem to be holding it tight so I'm not worried about it.

Oh man, you're truly evil :-) So, the questions are going to be, will the Axe OLED door work with the Virtue OLED (Mini) board and will the door be plastic or metal? If it's metal and compatible then I'm going to hold off on buying anything else or getting MAX laser'd until it comes out .. if it's plastic, well, I'm going to have to send out some hate mail :-)

Sorry, I do not know exactly what they are making it out of yet. But if I had to guess I would say plastic. And yes the Axe door will work with the Mini Oled board.

Bah! Better start drafting my complaint emails I guess :-)
On a side note, I tried to install the Axe grip onto my Mini but it doesn't fit :-( Only have the one to test so it's by no means definitive. Would be interested if someone else has better luck.
