Just bartended a wedding reception yesterday...quite fun.
I'll be lurking this thread without a doubt...I've been bartending the past year or so and have gained a great slew of knowledge on liquors from that time, so I'll be putting my 2 cents in quite often

I infused Smirnoff with pineapple, made a 2 week batch and a 4 week batch, they're both drinkable straight, and very potent. I suggest everybody try it at least once.

When I'm feeling stupid I just walk around dropping vodka shots in peoples drinks, beer, mixed, w.e. Ends up being pretty funny.

I stick to whiskey. Had a bad experience with vodka one time. Now the smell makes me to yack. I prefer Makers Mark. But most of the time it Jim Beam. Don't really drink to often though.

Burnetts > Smirnoff. Goes down smoother, and its cheaper.
Wild Turkey 101 is probably my favorite whiskey overall.
I don't really drink tequila anymore, had a VERY bad experience with it. I now have a love/hate relationship with El Jimador
Sailor Jerry's used to be my drink of choice, but I have gotten tired of it over the past couple years.
Probably my new favorite, and not THAT expensive($20/fifth here):

Beefeater is a very popular brand. However, if you're willing to spend $5-$10 more, Hendricks Gin is really much better.

There is some **** sold here called kentucky gentlemen. It's a damn good cheap whiskey. fifth for 8 $. When I can afford it, I get Jack D for sure. Straight and warm. I'll mix the kentucky with coke though...

Ya, I never really drank gin until pretty recently. I haven't tried many different kinds yet. I just checked prices/availability. Hendricks is $35, Beefeaters is $18. I might still give Hendricks a try, but probably not for a while  |

i drink evan williams when i feel like a cheap ****. i dont usually buy cheap liquor though. cheap beer is fine but cheap booze ruins me

for some reason ive always read your name as ape-erson rather than a-person. just noticed
and the difference between vodkas by price usually means its been filtered better. meaning it will have less of the bad alcohols in it that cause sickness and hangovers. the flavor is just water and sugar and flavorings. but smirnoff is pretty nasty
