I've toyed with the idea of getting one of the haley skimmer triggers. Grip take is on the to get list as well as an extended mag release. I'm open to ideas though.
I got my carbon fiber forend for my ar15 finished and painted finally. Ill post pics in about 5 min.

Yessums. The other one I have is about half as light but I can't find anyone to machine the mount I'll need for it.

Skip the Skimmer, it disengages one of the internal safeties. It is also expensive for very little improvement. If you absolutely must get a trigger kit get one from the same company, one of the Vogel ones with a carry trigger pull weight. Extended mag release is a useful upgrade and does not detract, worth it IMHO.

I'll do some research on it. I just want a trigger that takes away most of the pre-travel.

I'd like one, but I could never justify the money.

I've shot them. Next to the ak they are the second most widely used rifle on the battlefield. Robust lethal and yes the 1st generations are pos. newer models are a lot better though.

They are easy to fix and maintain. Ammo is widely used and packs one hell of a punch.
