I think the military has ruined my friends will to go shooting. These 2 kids in my class are ex marines and whenever I try to get them to come shooting they're like, " Shoot at what, why, what's the point" lol. They have guns, they just never want to go shoot.

It would be great if i had a head the size of a beachball. but since i dont it sucks. Im going to pick up an a3 flat top style bushmaster for target shooting.
having the scope so much higher from the barrel makes shooting at different ranges a pain too. I never said its ideal but its what i have for now.
On my .50 the cheek weld is just right

I'm giving up on 5.45 piston AR's. What's the point, converting the AR to a piston is just silly, it's like putting a DI into an AK. Haven't even shot mine, almost don't want to after reading reviews on pistons and the problems they create with carrier tilt and whatnot. AK- 74 FTMFW
Not to mention the 5.45 mags for ar's are cheap at best, feels like tin.

I havent priced one lately. i imagine ill spend about $1300 for a heavy barreled flat top. then ill need to pick up a good tactical scope (id like to try a nightforce) and a bipod (im lazy)

Well... I picked up some range/zombie hunting gear.
3 gen 2 Fastmags, a bandoleer FULL of MOLLE, and some crazy wallet replacing magazine carrying belt mounted doo-dad.
I have to get the kinks out of the bandoleer... I'm not so sure I am wearing it right. If I don't like it, anyone want it?

If you absolutely must have an HBAR, look into White Oak Armament.

It is my understanding that they are an amazing FA gun, but the one I shot in semi (16") was horrid.

I would pass... They are pretty pointless with the 16" barrel.

They shoot like a pistol caliber carbine with terrible ergonomics and a ridiculous price. The recoil impulse is managed in an interesting way, but for the most part it is a gimmick gun.
