Go back to arfcom and snipershide please. This is a place for real shooters, not gear queers. That is all. Once you get into the airforce you and all of your friends can go around with your awesome ar's and vests trying to get laid.

It's an aftermarket stock for the m1 carbine. I said that already.

ACS (ADVANCED COMBAT SYSTEMS Ltd.) Hezi SM-1

edit: pretty sure the project was scrapped though. It was being developed by an Israeli company, ACS from what I gathered. The m1 carbine is short enough though; I don't see why you would want a less reliable and more difficult to operate bullpup configuration.

What he said was exactly correct. If all your rounds were hitting together in the top right, then you didn't have it zeroed properly for those rounds. It's not unheard of for one type of ammunition to have a point of impact different from another type.

If you're going to spend that much coin on a 1911 Kimber would literally be the last manufacturer that I look at. The offerings from STI or SV Infinity, Springfield and Colt are significantly higher quality.

How much have you guys spent on shipping for your weapons? Either to/from a buyer, or like to your parents or some ****. Here's my story to vent.

Researched sending firearms. Went to gun shop to see if they would send it for me and I pay them, no go. They told me to go to the fedex place around the corner, and ask for Steve, he'll hook you up. Went around the corner, wrapped up my AR and what not and asked for Steve. Said I was sending this weapon to my parents to hold for me until I move back from overseas. Already had the FFL's information and all that and declared it a firearm. He says "you can only ship it overnight express, and that is $193." I'm like WTF, "are you sure there is no cheaper way". He says "No, that is the only way you can ship this". I told him it was my AR and my story and all that crap. I'm leaving in 3 days so whatever I'll pay, just got my taxes back so thank God. Pay, and go back to the gun shop and ask them how much it costs them to ship weapons to people. Tell them my story and they laugh and said I got had. WTF. **** Fedex and their people. Yeah I know its mostly my fault, but that Steve ****er knew what he was talking about, and I think he just wanted to bend me over and ram me with no lube. Pissed off.

Anyway I decided to ship my handgun back now because selling it to someone fell through and I will be going to UPS and will be sending it the right way and not let them **** me.

Anyone have stories of weapons getting lost in the mail, or not making it to their FFL dealer or something along that line?

It comes with Crimson Trace Laser Grips so the price is reasonably priced. It doesn't have an external extractor, comes with the upgraded beavertail safety, tool less disassebly, etc.

Kimber is the most overrated trash on the market. The new ones anyways, the older ones are legit. Build a les baer.

I spent like 30 for shipping and like 25 for my ffl dealer fee. I havent had any issues. Has been a simple process. Sorry you got had.

Quite frankly the laser grips are a gimmick. For $1400ish you can get an STI Duty 1 and get a steel frame with better machining and an under cut trigger guard, front serrations on the frame and an accessory rail in addition to a match grade bull barrel. You could spend a tad more and get an STI lawman or a bit less and get a Ranger II. Either way the STI will cost less than the Kimber and it will include an excellent beavertail, and depending on the model the fantastic recoil master guide rod.

Laser grips have their place, but the inclusion of one in the gun is swaying the decision towards a gun that may not be the best for the price.

Even so if he really wants laser grips he can toss them on an STI and still have a gun thats the same price or a bit cheaper and end up with a better package.

They may make you lazy, but having a secondary sighting option on the gun does not sound bad. The way of the future is a WML, slide mounted RDS, and a laser with irons still mounted.

I agree 100%, if you re-read what I said, you will see that I think the blinking red light is clouding what little judgement he may have.

A fool and his money are easily parted.

bah. My iron sights never need batteries, and if I can't shoot it with irons I probably shouldn't be shooting a pistol at it.
