You can count on a CRU team for certain. It looks like Jello is trying to put a team together. It would be nice to see some more teams signing up for it. Really all that i have heard is maybe's from local teams.

Maybe you guys can out a team together for it. "Real Xball" is a lot tougher than the PSP Race2 events.

Planning on making it up to at least one of these events. Hopefully enough teams get signed up.

Ehh, Ill pass. I really dont feel like spending that much money to play one team. Especially since the one team we'll be playing is sponsored by the field we'd be playing at.

At least a Cru team is a lock for moving on to Sectionals or Regionals or whatever the next part is.

Best of luck to you guys though.

Why do you say that you would only be playing one team?

I really hope the USPA takes off. My buddy's team out in PA is planning on playing that region/section.

In any and all respect, good luck to all who make the inaugural season.

Theres only one team in the region signed up right now, correct? If I were to sign a team up, I would only be playing that one Cru team for all 4 events. Am I wrong? I just cant see this taking off in MI. Too much money to pay upfront for most teams.

300 per person per team is too much up front? How about 1 PSP event is almost double that for all the expenses.

let's compare per person cost D4psp vs. Uspa season. Xball prices.

Psp: 260 entry per Event, 4 teams max of 15 minutes per team.
Uspa: 300 for season, 5 50 minute matches.

Paint:
Psp:at least 10 cases per event just for 4 teams @ ill say 35 a case. Uspa: approx 1.5 cases per match so like 55 in paint.

Travel:
Psp: let's say you car pool to the event. 20 bucks per person X10 = 200. and that's for a near by event. plus the time given up for work for the travel @ 10 dollars and hour chicago would even cost you 40 dollars in lost wages. Plus your hotel costs which range from 80 - 120 depending on hotel.
Uspa: 1 hour travel home the same day.

Just in the entry and paint costs alone you have already spent more than a USPA season for 1 event of the PSP season.

So your logic is not justified.

Really the only thing holding this from happening is having teams sign up. Idk if it is a lack of comittment or what. The maximum teams for the season for the area is 6 teams. So your odds of moving on is much greater than any other national league.

Stop and think what you spend for 1 local event.

IMS: approx 100 per person per event for entry and 1 case.
GLS approx 100 per person per event for entry and 1 case of paint.
Uspa: realisticly approx 120 per match.
PSP: 260 entry plus paint and travel.

I don't see why people wouldn't be doing this but hey what do i know i can't do basic math and figure things out.

maybe not everyone wants to play this? that could be a reasonable explanation instead of getting all upset about it

OK. I guess I didnt type what I meant to. Commitment from 12 guys for a minimum of 8 months is the issue. Thats the reason there havent been any successful big leagues that required a down payment before the season started.

There are also reasons the PSP is more expensive than other leagues. Those same reasons are why so many teams play the PSP. Theyre pretty obvious so I wont list them unless asked.

Don't get me wrong, the idea behind the USPA is great. But there are reasons more teams arent signed up. If the guys running it have any business sense, they'll make those changes and run a successful league.

CXBL, AXBL, NYXL, NYPL, etc have all been very successful leagues. All are pay upfront leagues.
Cool, we get you dont want to play.
We get commitment is an issue with a lot of teams.

Everything you just said is right. My mistake. Maybe the USPA will be just like the CXBL. I can see it. Good luck this year. Im sure itll be a great season for you guys.
