| there were about 2-3 more chapters with yoren in book 2 that they cut out, granted it was pretty much all traveling. gendry, hotpie and ayra also were not captured by amory lorch and escaped later to be captured by the mountain and his men. when they are captured that is when Polliver takes needle from arya and raff the sweetling kills lommy greenhands with a spear in the throat (not needle and not polliver, meh i am just being anal at that point). don't worry, amory's life should get a little "interesting" in an episode or 2 |
also, jaquen h'ghar, the red/white haired dude in the cage is going to probably be one of your favorite characters this season.

Do the Mountain and the Hound get along in the story?

lol no. the hound's whole existence revolves around killing his brother. that is his one and only goal, to say they hate each other is an understatement.
the mountain is a psychopath that will kill, rape, torturer and destroy just to do it and the hound is a damaged individual driven by hate and vengeance.
I REALLY hope they do not down play the mountain in this season as his part is pretty big and it really gives you a picture of how screwed up he is. they already skipped over a lot of his brutality and had the kids get captured by Amory Lorch.

Feel free to not discuss things that they skipped over in the books without spoiler tags. They may circle back and hit them later in the series.

So I was pretty damn drunk when I watched it last night and there was something that jumped out at me as being way different than the book but now I can't remember what it was.

Again, haven't read the books, just enjoying the series: Tonights episode had some awesome Tyrion stuff, some ****ed up Joffrey stuff, and a huge WTF ending. Great Show.

they're taking too many artistic liberties for my taste. Knew I shouldn't have read the books.

if you want to enjoy the show a word to the wise: dont read the books. they are cutting out and adding way to much crap. the stuff they are adding kinda sucks too

Most of the stuff they've added is just things that were mentioned briefly in the books. The stuff with Arya is a little different.
Was wondering how they would do the "birthing". It was, uh, unsettling, I'll give them that.

i think they did a good job with the birthing. they are making way to big of a deal of and are wasting way to much time with the renly homosexual crap. if they would have cut out all the butt love they could have added more of the cool stuff from the arya story, or more of the imp's doings in kings landing. there was something else that made me say wtf is this **** last night but i couldnt remember.
i really don't like the mountain re-cast either. they could have at least kept him in the "mountain" armor from the first season. I never recalled him wearing the lanister stuff.

I think he's fine. He's big, and that's all he really needs. The Mountain isn't exactly a deep character with a lot of lines. In fact, I can't remember if he ever spoke in the books. As far as the armor, I know he rode under his own banner in the book, but can't remember what his armor was supposed to be like but I'm 99% sure he didn't wear Lanister red. My guess is it was a design choice so viewers would understand that he was Lanister's man. It could get confusing for people who don't read the books who the hell everyone one is and what parts they play in the story considering just how many different characters the series follows.
