What Camcorder for 600-800 Range?

Well, the old lady wants to start doing Makeup logs and need's a camcorder that takes really good quality up close for her video's. I've been checking out canons site and most of the camcorders seem to be 50 bucks apart with a feature or two different so it's confusing.

Canon Rebel T2i. It'll run you a little less than $800 and it shoots great 720/24p footage and depth of field can easily be changed since it uses canon's ef lenses which is what you'll need for those close up shots. The kit comes with an 18-55mm lens (not positive on that) and that'll cover most focal lengths you'll need from what I'm assuming about makeup logs haha

edit: Make sure whatever computer you're using to log and edit can handle the HD footage first before buying
